I have had the worst itching for MONTHS. I've been to doctors, been given TONS of prescription meds and NOTHING works. I don't have scabies, or an infection. It isn't an allergy. I'm not under any real stress. I've tried lotions, creams, antibiotics, antifungal meds, and nothing works. Why am I itching so badly? It's EVERYWHERE, and will not go away. I've even tried burning the skin with a lighter to make it quit itching, and it won't quit. Any ideas?

I don't drink at all.
I have not made any changes in my life in 18 months - no new soaps, pets, etc.
I've taken more Benadryl than any person should have to take in a lifetime in just the last week.

it sounds really severe.
You need to trouble shoot this and figure out where the problem lies:
Do you only itch when you are in the house?
Have you tried a different laundry detergent?
When did this start? summer?
Have you tried over the counter anti histamines?
Got a new pet lately?
Basically what changed in your lifestyle that led to the start of the itch.

So sorry to hear about your 'itchiness', I sometimes get allergies, and I totally know what you are describing...it is like coming from underneath your skin, and you can't stop it...

Are u on any medications that have side effects such as itching? Some people with kidney disorders have itching. Do u have any plants in the house? Have doctors ruled out eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis etc. Diabetes can cause dry skin and itching.
