People tell me that I have a higher risk for Diabetes because my father had it. He didn't get it until he was 54. How can I be at a greater risk for something my father didn't get until he was in his 50's and I was in my 20's?

I know this is a longshot, but, I would like to know more. I was born with a benign one and at 18 y/o just realized that I have no tailbone after doing some research and well, my anatomy. If anyone knows anything about this, has the child/you developed cancer again later in life, and was their original teratoma malignant or benign? Share your stories, please.
Thanks to everyone.

I dream of smoking most nights. Wake up happy as can be.
Sure do wish it wasn't so harmful. How lucky are those that have smoked for years with no ill effects.

I went to aheart specialist because my internist reccomended it. He says "tell me about yourself".. So I explain my medical conditions and symptons im having, he cuts me off and says "No i want to know about your personal life, what do you do"? He asked me "are you divorced"? I said no Im a widow, he says "have any children"? I said yes 2, he says "how old'? I say 20 and 22, he says "are they successful", I say "yes", he says "oh so you live alone", I said no "they live with me"
He gives me a puzzled look, and was waiting for more info then questions me about ever being in a hospital
Is this normal?

i have been to several doctors, one just said it was an infection and gave me some ear drops, when that didn't work i went to another doctor and he said it was eczema and gave me some cream, that worked at fist, then a week later it stopped and the pain came back, another doctor told me to use the same cream again, and another doctor said it was just a reaction to the chlorine because i used to go swimming a lot.

I'm not a doctor so i cant say, but i don't think it is eczema and it is still here even though i havnt been swimming for about a year. it is a stabbing pain, and half way down my ear canal it is blocked by something that isn't there in my other ear. sometimes it 'leaks' this gross yellow sap-type thing and occasionally hearing is hard in that ear, and everything sounds like when you are underwater. have anyone any ideas about what it can be.

I need to know from any pros out there if smoke on clothes causes some or all of the same effects as breathing in second hand smoke. It is important for a child with pulmonary problems.

I am allergic to dust mites which would include bedbugs so need to know whether lower temperature would work. 40 degrees is recommended, seems low to me.

I was stung by something on tuesday (3 days ago) in a sump and i didnt see what it was. I instantly felt tingling through my leg. The spot that was stung has swollen to double the size with a red ring about 4 inches in diameter. I cannot see a stinger but the spot that was stung is sort of indented and soft. I tried to squeeze the vemon out and only got clear liquid so not sure if that worked. My leg is tender in the spot that was stung and when i bend my leg foward its a little painful.

Last night i wrapped my leg in a cold wet cloth with a bandage around it to stop the swelling but when i woke up and removed the bandage my foot began to swell. No from the bottom of my calf to my toes is double to triple the size.

Any idea what i got stung by and how can i treat it. I have used cortizone to stop the itching but nothing else yet.

My Nanna had hep A while she was pregnant with my mum. My mum, sister and I all have Gilberts syndrome. Could this be as a result of my Nanna having hep A whilst pregnant with my mum or is it just genetic. Was the virus past to my mum and could she have past it to my sister and I?
