I have strep throat. I used both amoxicillin and pennicillin in the past. However, its been a while since the last time I;ve had strep throat. It usually doesn't take long for pennicillin to kick in, but right now I'm on amoxicillin. Ive use amoxicillin before in the past and it has worked. However it seems to be taking forever. This is my fourth day with strep throat and I'm still hurting. I don't remember it taking this long whenever I am prescribed pennicillin.. So again.. The question is... Does amoxicillin take longer to kill a bacteria than pennicillin does?

My daughter spent six weeks at her dads this summer and I just realized this morning that her head is infested w/ head lice. We've dealt with lice once before, but after almost 8 hours today, there is no end in sight. Her head is so infested that she has mutliple nits on every strand of hair - we've been working on the nits for hours and I'm not even half way thru her hair. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had her put mayonnaise in her hair last night before she went to bed and we rinsed it out this morning (doctor suggested this last time she had it). After that, we did the RID shampoo and we've been working for hours and hours on the nits. I just don't see an end in sight for this. Nothing that I do seems to be making a difference today.

PLEASE HELP !!!!!!

Plainly put. I'm in no pain right now, but I haven't had a regular bowel movement in about 3 days, and I feel very bloated. I tried using an enema, but it was uneffective. I need a quick cure. Excertise, water, and fiber all seem like they are for long term avoidance of constipation, they won't help here and now will they? please give me advice.

im really embarresed by doing this but im really concerned........Everytime i go swimming,or get some kind of water on my fingers for a long period of time some of it turns white........really white!,,,,like around the finger and around it.....i have no idea what this is and im really concerned about it because im embarresed to go swimming now.....does anyone know what this could be or how I can fix it?........seriously . =[

I'm 44 years old and I was recently diagnosed with ADD and I began medication immediately. The results were miraculous. I would be very interested in hearing about other people's similar first hand experiences. I believe there are a lot of adults who suffer from this disorder.

ok just posted 2 questions, what age do you start to snore and what age can sleep apnea start.
The reason being, my g/f has told me that i have sleep apnea(no doubt about it she said). And go see a doc. And it was the first night we were together lol. I said whats sleep apnea as im 37, and surely i cant have a problem. But she reassured me i have. I have always felt kind of tired since i left school, lol. i get a good nights sleep and can still feel tired. Though that could be anything and not sleep apnea, stress or something. Thats why i posted the 2 questions. I did see my doc about the sleep apnea but he just laughed. I am slightly overweight and sleep on my back. Now im wondering how long i could have had sleep apnea ?? help!!!!!!!

But I question the confidentiality . I share the insurance card with my mother and my mother pays the medical bill . Ganglion Cyst Removal Cost/?

I have a ganglion cyst well at least that what the doctor think it is. They have to put me a sleep because they have to someother stuff with the bone(wrist) that the ganglion cyst is near. How much could i be looking at? Do i have to pay for the general anesthesia?

It was like this since april and it is gettin bigger...and the blood flow isnt normal...i go for surgery in a week or so...How much is the doctor bill going to be? Anyone ever had this done before. How much did it cost? They tried draining to 3-4 times but it was too hard and thick. Anyone ever had this done. How much did it cost?.Hopefully no more than 500 bucks.
