Yes. High dose chemothearpy can wipe out all hair growth including eyelashes.
There are about 100 different types of chemotherapy, some cause hair loss, some don't. Some people lose hair, some don't. Some cancers do not require as much chemotherapy, so there is a lower dosage, some chemotherapy requires a longer period of time to kill off advanced disease. All these issues factor in to whether you will lose your eyelashes or not.
My son had high dose chemo for 9 months and lost all his hair, including his eyelashes. But it all grew back. The chemo he has been on now does not cause hair to fall out at all.

It depends on on the type of chemotherapy given to the patient. In advanced stages high and heavy dosages of strong medicines are given to kill the fast multiplying cancer cells. In some cases mild medicines are administrated. Actually it all depends on the stage and grade of the disease and also the place affected.
In Severe dosages all hair of the body, head, eyelashes, eyebrow, pubic, and at armpit also the hair will fall off completely.
But in more than 85% of the cases the hairs will fall but will grow back to the original position slowly in a year's time. There is nothing to worry about falling of hair and it is essential to treat the disease as CANCER IS STILL AN ENIGMA-

Some people lose all of their hair on their body, but it is possible to keep it. It will eventually grow back, but it takes a while.
I'm sorry if someone you know is dealing with cancer, and I hope they are getting better every day. <33
