There seems to be some growths....not necessarily hard bumps, on one of my testicles. Should I be afraid. Is there a clear/cut sign that I have testicular cancer? Sometimes the one that feels like it has a growth of some sort hurts like I was hit. It doesn't hurt that bad though.

For my health class assignment, we are asked to research on some of the world's rarest diseases, how they are cured, affecting it's victims, how many has it and so on. All I'm asking are the diseases that are rare(one that happens at least 1 in every hundred million and so on...), not the specifics.

I recently have started to get things that look like pimples, meaning they hard red and raised. But they are almost rock hard and never come to a head and painful. There are only ever one or two but they never pop and when they go away they leave a scar. This is probably something I need to speak to a dermatologist about but seeing as I am young it's kinda hard for me to just come up with that kind of money. So if anyone has any ideas to what they might be it would be extremely helpful.

I took ibuprofen (Nurofen brand) every day for about a year to relieve muscle pain after a motorcycle accident. About 4 months after starting the NSAID's, a skin complaint started to appear that eventually covered all of my body except my face. It was diagnosed as GA (= granuloma annulare). The GA continued long after I stopped taking the ibuprofen.

I believe the NSAID drugs and the GA to be connected, but my doctor says there is no evidence. My present theory is that taking NSAID's (at maximum recommended daily dose) makes the skin very sensitive to the effects of sunlight (or possibly just to the infra-red heat component), and exposure to sunlight under those conditions causes GA.

Does anyone have any experience of this, know anything about it, or can tell me where to go to find people who do?

My daughter has two keloids, one on her earlobe (it looks like a little egg), and the other was caused by a fall that scarred her knee.

The one on her ear, I had removed over a year ago, but it came right back. Though now it is bigger.

What should I do? I tend to get over protective because I do not want her to get scraped, fall or get injuries. Since her skin does not heal well. I do not want her to be self conscious, because with girls it is all about the "looks."

Thanks in advance, for any responses.

Hey Doctor. So for other people who work in the Hospitals where you work. The dirty environment. How would you recommend that they keep everything clean? How often should people who work at Hospitals have to take a shower? How often should they wash their clothes? How often should they wash their bedsheets? Does it help to put mothballs in the vacuum bags? Does it help to vacuum the house every day?

The Cavicide Spray. Why doesn't it state on the bottle that it kills Sabies also?

Also for hospital workers how often do health professionals get scabies? What is the best way to avoid it? Do Doctors get scabies too?

This rash has appeared on my lower legs and it is the most bizzarre looking pattern. It is identical on both legs and feet. It is painful, tender to touch, even to have clothing on is painful. It gets deep red and then fades, but it doesn't go away. My joints swell and are most painful when it is at the reddist color. My ankles, feet and knees become stiff and hurt so severely it is problem to even walk across the room. I have picures I can show but not able to post them with this question. I will email the pictures to anyone who is interested in seeing them.

...He's 30 years old, very healthy. He came home from work today with 3 very swollen lymph nodes in his left armpit (he's also left handed) with an area of bright red swelling. The nodes are each quarter size; the rash covers an area about 4 inches by 4 inches on the underside of the affected arm. They are painful to the touch and to lower his arm causes pain as well. There are no puncture marks anywhere, he has no fever. I see no signs of infection in his hand or arm and othwise he feels fine. I traced the red area to watch fro spreading in the am. Any physician advice or people with similiar stories to share?

My husband is a diabetic and is cutting a cantaloupe for our daughter. He has asked a good question and hopefully someone on here has the answer. Does anyone know just how much sugar is in a fresh cantaloupe? Is it a safe snack for him to have? He is type 2 diabetic just to let you know.
