How long will hives stays in my toddler!!! HELP!!!!!?

my 18 mos old's been suffering from hives almost 3 weeks now...it would be gone for a while and would comeback..it seems to be itchy that my little boy scratch his body very badly.. i brought him to pedia derma already and given him antihistamine medicines but it still appears on his body in no time..how long will it stay in my baby? i continue to give hime antihistamine whenever it appears..please help me..thank you

Hives are an allergic reaction from something in his environment. Food, soap, fabric softener, animals, etc.

You need to keep a list of everything he eats, what you use in the wash, if the animals are shedding (dander) everything he is into. Washing toys frequently will help. This goes for day care, any place he goes, and who he is around. Something is causing the hives.
