They did some research a few years back showing that ulcers were actually bacterial infections. Did they put him on antibiotics?

YOu need to ask the doctor that question. My concern is that there may be some risk of internal bleeding that the doctor can advise you on.

Check with your doctor, but it shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure they take their medication as directed.
