I was married 9 years to a woman who was diagnosed with HPV a year before we met. I have never shown any signs of warts or symptons, and neither has she. We are no longer married, and I am starting a new relationship. I know I have to talk to my new girlfriend about this, but what are the chances she could develop symptoms from me? If so, how long would it take and how bad would they be? Also, the last time I had sex with my ex-wife was in May. Does this amount of time have anything to do with reducing the symptoms?

I have been having cardiac symptoms for almost a year, onsets of tachycardia which cause lightheadedness, weakness and shortness of breath. My cardiologist wants me to have a cardiac ablation done, and I was wondering if anyone knows the average cost of one. I found some figures to be $10,000-$15,000. I have insurance which pays the majority, but want to know how much I'd have to cover on my own.

I was suffering from a tight pain in my chest and become tired. This had been going on for a while but is getting worse now. I went to the doctor today, and he said my blood pressure was very high and he took some tests to figure out why. I don't do drugs, eat healthy, take vitamins, and exercise at leat 3 times a week. Its, likely my problem is from high stress from school, work, and life. He said he didnt know why my bp was so high for someone my age and condition. What could cause me to have high bp, stress or something else?

Ok, I've had this bump on my amr for years, but it hasn't really been noticable until about a year ago. It almost looks like a pimple now. the raised bump itself is maybe two centimeters in diameter, the red area around it is about 1/4 of an inch. It has a pinkish center, surrounded by a tiny bit of dark red. It's not really growing wider, just became a little more raised. and the skin on top of it keeps peeling off. What could this be? My doctor is booked for months, and it's knda bugging me that I can't find out what this is not matter how much research I do. If anyone has seen this before, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks again!

I thought white blood cells were produced to fight infection. So if there was something foreign in your body, your count would be higher than normal, showing that it was trying to fight it off. Have I been thinking wrong?

I've never had stones, but it doesn't eject bile due to hormones (estrogen) causing it to slow down. I've waited a year to have the surgery and have finally given in. I've heard you can eat anything and then some people have diareah really badly.

I have Hepatitis B and C. C has become so advnced, I just had surgery last week due to complications. Dr. says without transplant I have 6mos. to 1 yr. to live. I am 50 yrs young and feel I have more I want to see out of life and to give to life. From small east Tex town and most of the Drs. are only affiliated with our hospital system and the Drs. affiliated there. The nearest transplant Hospital is Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Our Drs. are unaffiliated.I'm about ready to walk into the ER at the hospital and tell the girl at the window for complaints and ailments that I need a transplant of my worthless liver. Somehow that lacks in any realistic outcome of achieving my goal.

My health has never been the same since I contracted epstein barr virus 22yrs ago. I have a good diet and exercise but if I go through a stressful period or over exert myself the chronic sore throat returns with aches and pains and chronic fatigue. Has anyone been through this and conquered it? It gets so debilitating and depressing at times .

1. I stubbed my toe today really hard (i kicked something and hit the ball with the front of my toe) ... will that cause any trauma to the growing nail?

2. If the nail is red, like of blood, is that a good thing (like the blood is circulating or something or is it just somethinge else?)

I have had glandular fever for the past 3 months. A month before i was diagnosed i moved house, was working full time and teaching dance classes. And 3 weeks ago i got married. I know this all seems a lot and was wondering if anyone else has had glandular fever during a really busy time and how long it takes to be better. I am now off work indefinately, should i see an improvement now. The main symptons i am now left with is fatigue and when i get tired i get a severe headache across the back of my head. This only occurs when i have had a busy day and have been stressed.

This is more than die from HIV and cancer together per year. This is almost TWICE AS MANY AS WERE KILLED IN VIET NAM OVER A TEN YEAR PERIOD using airplanes, tanks, ammo, man power, land mines, grenades, warships, guns and rifles, rockets, etc. Viet Nam killed an ave. of 5,000 (50,000 over 10 years) a year compared to Hospitals sloppy in house care killing 18 TIMES AS MANY.

Where is the outrage? The target is the elderly, the sick and the young. 2.3 million go into hosptials each year, and poor health care while there leads to infections that kills 1/4 of these people who entered these institutions with their trust. Where are those alphabet soup agencies paid to protect us from such madness? Stats came from NBC broadcast today.
