Before my diagnosis, I worked out and was quite active. And even for about a year I was an active runner, which I absolutely loved. I had always planned to start running again, but I got caught between having baby #2 and then having a hysterectomy. Several months after my surgery came the diagnosis of FMS. My doc, as well as myself, believes that my FMS began while I was pregnant. I had a terrible pregnancy with a sudden onset of severe pain throught my entire body, especially in the pelvic, hip, and upper leg areas. These are the same exact places I hurt the worst right now.

What I'm wanting to know is...

Will I ever be able to become a runner again while at the same time being cursed with fibromyalgia syndrome? Somedays I can hardly move, and then if I move too much another day, I pay for it the next two or three days after.

Someone please help me!! I need my running time back. I have some serious weight to lose and major stress to release. HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPP!!!!

Last year I use to have penial discharge during bowl movements. This stopped 3 months ago. Should I still be worried? Was it some horrible condition or was the straining just exerting pressure on my prostate? I have never had sex so I don't think it could be an STD but I'm putting it in this topic anyway.

I take a shower every single day, but as my hair dries, the smell of the shampoo is gone and it's replaced by a different odor. I don't know what's causing it. I use paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo. it started when I was 12 or 11. It use to be REALLY bad, but its not too bad anymore, but i still feel uncomfortable being around people a few hour after I shower. I always see my friends having a good time and I want to, but If I get close too them and they smell my hair, well the'll say im dirty. Im not a smoker, my parents arent smokersand i dont eat greasy foods. i dont have greasy hair like I use too, but its still gets greasy a little bit, and i really dont have a acne problem just the norm for my age. im 15.

our daughter have been a drug addict for 18 years; she had 2 bad episodes in the last 5 years.
the last time she was in the hospital was 11-2002 with a intractranial bleeding/hemorrhagic stroke. she was in critical condition for nearly a year; we took her and her 13 year son home and we nurtured her back to health. We just found out she is doing drugs again; we are thinking of cutting her off completelly from our lives; since she continue to lie to us
and deceive us. we are too tired of
the dramma. our question is:
should we cut her off our lives???

I've been monitoring my serum cholesterol levels for some time now. I find that Physicians like to focus on the Total Cholesterol number while sometimes ignoring the HDL numbers - which are obviously atheroprotective - and thus reduce CHD risk. There's been a lot of work done (Framingham Study, etc.) which show that the Total Cholesterol/HDL ratio correlates better with CHD risk than Total Cholesterol alone. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks :-)

Each month after my period I get one annoying, somewhat painful bump that is in the same spot each time. Its about the size of a zit and when I looked at it is is almost like a boil where it is indented in the middle. There is no puss or discharge from it. Since I had children, I am unable to wear tampons so I'm assuming it's my pad rubbing a sore? Could this be it? Should it be something I should be concerned about? Only asking because I found out my ex was a big pimp and I highly doubt he used protection! I did have an STD screening about 6 months ago but this has since started after that. Should I get checked again to be on the safe side?

I've been running a lot more lately, and when I run very quickly, my feet begin to hurt, particularly the foot area. Whenever I would run before and get blisters, I'd blame it on the shoes, and the shoes are extremely important, but I've recently bought new shoes, (a few sizes too big because my feet swell when I run) and I had gotten blisters from before that make my skin hard and turn into callouses. Now, after running, my toes ache in pain from the intensity of how fast I run, or how long I run, and the skin underneath my toes and on the balls of my feet is peeling very grossly. It doesn't itch or ache, it just peels thickly, so I've ruled out athletes foot, and I put lots of moisturisor on my feet, and I may not take the best care of them, but the blisters hurt, and the skin peeling is rather gross. I need some help... how can I heal and prevent this from further happening ?

Let's say a patient presents with fatigue, headaches, gout, aggression, memory loss, sleep disturbance, tremor, slow nerve conduction, and ED. After running a CBC and finding microcytic anemia and leukocytosis, how probable is it that a doctor would say "definetly lead poisoning" BEFORE looking at the urine and finsing sediment, or doing a renal biopsy? People actually in the medical field please help me out? I'm reseaching for my short story and I like to be accurate.
