First step, curb your insulin resistance. This is achieved through three things. #1 low glycemic diet, #2 moderate excercise #3 high quality nutritoinal supplements. This will help re-set your made in heaven body to the time of production when you were created. It is a lifestyle change not a sprint you can be helped. What will happen over time is this. Even with the insulin treatments you are on every day of every month of every year you become more and more dependent on your insulin shot or whatever you are on. That is why your doctor tries to slow that process down with insulin holidays. You are on a downward spiral unless you give you own bodies the tools and building blocks it needs to correct the problem. Stay on the medication but make the necessary lifestyle change for long-term health.

PS: the reason I would not worry to much about the blood pressure thing is 80% of diabetics die from heart disease. The before mentioned will help that as well and in turn keep your blood pressure at good levels

I assume that is what it is at the Dr,'s office. mine is usually around that like 96 over 60 something. I don't think it causes any real problems, I know my heart rate is faster just after exercising, etc. My Dad had low pressure too. so it's just one of them things I guess. Some people are over some people are underwieght. that's how they get an average range of where it should be.
