I recently got my 2 big toenails removed like a week ago due to fungus...

1. I stubbed my toe today really hard (i kicked something and hit the ball with the front of my toe) ... will that cause any trauma to the growing nail?

2. If the nail is red, like of blood, is that a good thing (like the blood is circulating or something or is it just somethinge else?)

that in itself sounds REALLY painful. I've NEVER had a toenail removed, but i've kicked a damn rock (don't know how i missed it) and tore the skin pretty bad and deep. I just had to make sure that the skin didn't grow over the corner of my toenail. I'm sure if you call your doctor they will tell you if you should worry.

My husband slammed his toe at work and the same thing happened under his nail. He didn't go to the Doctor for a long while and the nail became ingrown. They said that he should have come in to have the blood drained from under the toe. So maybe call the doctor just in case. It is better safe then sorry. Good Luck!
