I was hospitalized earlier this year with anemia. After 2 units of blood it was discovered have had type II with neuropathy for about 10 years (readings over 500). Neuropathy in both legs from the hips down. Readings are now down to 100-120 with diet and oral medication. Question, can neuropathy also affect a persons testicles? Am on a county hospital plan so some issues seem to get side stepped.

Do you know of any charities that directly help people with spondylolisthesis? I have a family member who suffers from this condition, and I'd like to support a charity that works to do research on this or that helps people who have been diagnosed with it. Thank you.

I am a diabetic on insulin and oral medications. I am giving up on life because I am alone and the one I love doesn't love me. So I am over eating sweets. Like I ate about a pound of fudge since yesterday and I just finished a half gallon of Edy's ice cream, which I ate in about an hour. I'm getting heavier everyday and my bloodsugar is starting to escalate. I don't care anymore so like an alcoholic, I'm overdosing on sweets instead of booze. Do you think it will help me to just wipe my lousy self off the face of the earth quickly or will it be a slow death? Anyone have any clues??

i have been throwing up all afternoon, until now. about ten times total. i have no fever, but i feel achey, no other symptoms. i think it is a stomach flu.
i am very thirsty from all that throwing up. i tried drinking water slowly, but i couldn't..i was so thirsty i drank a full glass rather quickly--then i threw it up. i have been laying in bed for about and hour since my last vomiting episode. i really want to drink a lot of water with ice..what should i do? will i be ok if i drink a lot now? sorry if this sounds stupid, but i am only 21 and live on my own. my husband is deployed, so i have no one to take care of me. all the help you guys could give me, i will appreciate. :-)

I get real bad migraines. I'm in bed about 75% of my life because of them. I feel like I'm letting my friends down, and the homework keeps piling up.

No drugs help anymore and the leading doctors in the field are no help.

Make me feel better! What should I do?

one you had before is still good (you know, cause usually you have to get one every ten years or so, if I remember correctly...). My mom recently died. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer three years ago. The cancer had metasticized to her bones and she had a few spots on them. She was getting radiation treatment (in the beginning) and chemo until last may when her doc switched her to hormone shots and she got her first shots in June. Things seemed ok until last May/Junish. Around that time she started to lose weight and get weaker. In July she found out that the shots were not working and that it may have spread to her liver.

Well, in Aug, she started to deteriorate very quickly (dehydration, diarrhea, fluid build up, fatigue, loss of appetite, infection. etc.) Everything happened so fast that it really took my family by surprise.

She was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago and they took a biopsy of her liver, checked on her abdominal pain (they removed 2 lites of fluid) and looked at her intestines. She never woke up after surgery and we were told that she died of sepsis.

Ok so I had an abnormal pap about 2 months ago but I tested negative to all other STD's. I am schedualed for a colpscopy but I was wondering if anyone ever showed symptoms to HPV. I have been researching this like crazy cause I am having no warts but an increase in vaginal discharge it is clear which my primary care doctor says is fine. The discharge makes me itchy and seems to be most sever at night. I do understand that some discharge is normal but I also know my body at 28 and know it has increased tramendously! Every web site though is saying no sympotoms. I have found a couple but they all say warts. Well alot of peole don't get warts. I have only had sex with one person. I understand that it is still possible because I was not his first. I have however been normal for 8 years until now. But if anyone else has had this symptoms or others please fill me in,,,THANKS

No I'm not addicted, I just would like an easier way to obtain some when I need them for very painful cancerous endometriosis, I am due to have surgery soon, but my doctor is not prescribing any pain killers to any of his patients anymore due to the DEA and Insurance regulations, any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank You

Was taking Vicodin or Norco for about two years, yet my pain seemed to get more severe and more frequent. I asked doctors but w/unsure answers. I stopped taking it after weening down but still suffered 5 days of extreme withdrawls and months of residual anxiety, thurst and exessive urination during which I asked for help from doctors who discovered I was now severely diabetic, off the scale never appearing in any previous lab tests. Diabetes does run in my family but not normally until late sixties and I was 48 at the time.

Well it all started yesterday morning when I got up and looked in the bathroom mirror and saw my left eyelid wad swollen but only a tad. then I had noticed a rash on my neck. Then more into the day the swelling in my eyelid went down and the rash got way better and didnt itch anymore. But I had this one day retreat hosted by Courtney Bullard (the founder of idminisdtries , you can visit the foundations site , at www.idministries.com),April Clay(of www.aprilclay.com), and lots more. well I dont remember getting into anything that night , but I did go to bed at Approx. 12:30 and got up at 4:30 for a while and nothing was wrong. Then I woke up at 7 and my eye was rwally swollen and the rash had gotten on my face. Now it;s really strange because its only on my face and neck and it really itches , but it wont go on my arms or legs , so its definately not Poison ivy or contagious to anyone. Also , one more thing , it seems every time I sleep my eye gets bigger! Please help!

She slurs her speech frequently when I call home from work daily. In addition to slurring her speech, she passes out on a regular basis. Can you please explain to her what her long term consequences will be if she doesn't take this seriously. What is her life expectancy going to be the way she keeps going? She is 40 years old. Thanks
