Ok so I had an abnormal pap about 2 months ago but I tested negative to all other STD's. I am schedualed for a colpscopy but I was wondering if anyone ever showed symptoms to HPV. I have been researching this like crazy cause I am having no warts but an increase in vaginal discharge it is clear which my primary care doctor says is fine. The discharge makes me itchy and seems to be most sever at night. I do understand that some discharge is normal but I also know my body at 28 and know it has increased tramendously! Every web site though is saying no sympotoms. I have found a couple but they all say warts. Well alot of peole don't get warts. I have only had sex with one person. I understand that it is still possible because I was not his first. I have however been normal for 8 years until now. But if anyone else has had this symptoms or others please fill me in,,,THANKS

I am 28 as well, and I have HPV (1 in 3 sexually active people have it). I didn't have any noticible symptoms, but it is possible that you could also have a yeast infection, or some kind of bacterial infection. I get those kind of frequently - I think I'm very sensitive to any kind of Ph change in there - you may be the same. Good luck with your colpscopy. By the way, my pap smears are normal now, so I'm sure you'll be fine too.

I am actually in the same situation as you, I go in for my colpscopy next week. I am having some similar symptoms and when I mentioned it to my gyno they also tested for bacterial vaginosis. It came out positive and I am taking antibiotics for it. All it is is a bacterial infection that can be caused by sexual activity, but just like a yeast infection you don't have to be sexually active to get it. Good Luck!!!

well im not 100% sure what is going on with you, but i noticed as i got older ( i'm 28 also ) my discharge also changed, and so did my period..it's a normal part of being a woman, it varies with each year, and hormone level..I can not tell you if you have something wrong or not, but i would say just by the symptoms your describing, i agree with your doctor, it is normal..and don't worry to much about it.

just a change in your horomones. It is normal for discharge to fluctuate, but it usually happens on a monthly basis in rhythm with your period. gaining or losing weight, sexual activity, pregnacy could all be factors. you could also have an infection or STD. so you might want to have it checked if that is a possiblity. I would just wear a pantiliner if it is bothering you. (maybe you are sweating more, too)
