Am currently taking amitriptyline 25 mg and Gabapentin 300mg for numbness in my feet and legs. Is the neuropathy permanent or some thing I will have to live with?

Here's the run down:
I am on singulair (bad spelling). I cannot take decongestants because they miss with my head (I get really drugged off of them). My breath smells really bad because my sinuses are acting up. They are draining down my throat (which is making it a little raw). My stomach is upset. My head is foggy and feels like it is ready to explode.

I know the ragweed is doing it. I cannot take OTC allergy meds (got yelled at by the doctor before). I barely consume chocolate or dairy. I don't drink. I try to drink plenty of water.

Is there anything I can do about the breath, the throat, or the head issues? Kinda used to the stomach issue by now.

Thanks

I have a green/green-blue birthmark on the upper part of my left arm and I want to know if this occurance is common. Everyone thinks it's just a bruise but it's actually the color of my skin.
I've had a cut through my birth mark and the skin that grew back was still green-blue. I don't know anyone else with this THING... although I like it because it makes me unique, I'm wondering if it's linked to something medical. Do you know anyone with this kind of birthmark?

Why does the Herpes simplex 1 break out on your lips as commonly known as "Cold sores" or fever blisters?

Why not else where?

Why is herpes 2 only in the genital area and not else where?

Are they really the same virus?

I have a friend who thinks that eating lots of sugar will result in diabetes. I tend to disagree -- diabetes is a lack of insulin (or so I believe), and you can produce more after you eat more sugar. So, eating more sugar wouldn't give you diabetes, which seems to be a common misconception among some people that I know.

So, am I right? Does eating foods containing high amounts of sugar (i.e. candy, ice cream, etc.) increase the likelihood for diabetes?

She's had prior lung problems. She also has other health problems. As bad as this sounds : her husband would not call the medics. Someone told me via phone and I had to call them because he refused to. Needless to say, he's very angry with me, so I'm not going to go down there and have him start yelling and make it worse for her. I'm just so worried about her. All she does is clean and run the kids to places (in the car) and wait on everyone over there. There's one adult son living there (in his 40's) who could help out a LOT more. Also her daughter, in her 40's, an ex-nurse, and some teenage grandkids, who could all do more work over there since they all live there. All I know is she was vomiting severly, then dry heaving, and sweating. My stepdaughter called from the hospital to tell me about the low oxygen. They apparently did an MRI of her heart too. I already lost both of my parents, so this is really bothering me. Can anyone tell me what this low oxygen means? Thank you so much.

I know close to nothing about cancer. My mum has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and from the state she is in, my view is that it is too late for any treatment. (Sorry for being vague here, I find it too difficult to describe her body. She is physically extremely weak already).
All sorts of tests are being done currently to assess the situation. Before the doctors give us some feed back, I am just wondering if anybody has experiences to relate. Also, do you know of people who have been saved with chemio "at the last minute"? (In her case, it is too late for all other treatments, as doctors told her). Thank you.

As an athletic trainer, I sometimes find myself in a situation where I must care for an athlete who has forgotten to bring his/her inhaler with them. Do you have any suggestions that may aid in a quick recovery when the inhaler is not available?
THANKS!

My fiance' and I were fighting the other day. She says I never listen and don't care about her. So to prove that I do, I took her to her pediatrist's appointment. She said she had some problem with her toe that she needed him to examine. Well, I offered to go back with her, but there was a cool program on the tv in the waiting room, and a good gun magazine so she said I could wait in the waiting room for her.
A little over TWO hours later she comes out and says the doctor took care of it, and he said her cameltoe was fine. I told her for that kind of money I could have told her her feet were fine. She's got cute little feet. My last girlfriend had a hammertoe and that was nasty.
But I think he's ripping us off. Her feet look fine to me, so either he's a good doctor and took care of her cameltoe or he's making stuff up and charging us an arm and a leg for it.

Please help quick. She's got another appointment next week.
