Sounds like Cellulitis, which can be caused by several bacteria. Staph is commonly a cause. Also a dog or cat bite can cause it. It is usually treated with Penicillin or a derivative of Penicillin, but can be treated with other drugs depending on the bacteria involved.

It can be very serious if not taken care of properly.

You need to make culture and sensitivity test at bacteriologist clinic from the pus sample to know the proper antibiotic which can kill the organism.
