Honestly that sounds EXACTLY like genital herpes.
I have had genital herpes for over 5 years. I got it right after I turned 17. My parents were completely crushed, so I can understand your concern with your mom. My outbreak was so painful my doctor prescribed me Vicodin and I had to call off of work a few days. It hurt to walk and even sit down!
I'd suggest you make a doctor appointment and don't have your mom go with you, just have her wait in the waiting room. Have them test you for genital herpes. You'll be able to get medication so when you have another outbreak (and you will), you will have the medication and the outbreak will last half the time. Best wishes!

Unfortunately it sounds like you have been exposed to the herpes virus. The best thing to do is consult with your obygn, personal physician or a community clinic. All three are confidential and can prescribe a suppressive medicine for you. Don't feel ashamed or overly embarrassed if you find that you do have the herpes virus about 1 in 4 people have some form of herpes so you are not alone. It is important to practice safe sex with this same partner or any future partners and to let the person you think may have passed on the virus to you know that you contracted this from them. Their is a chance that the are simply just a carrier of the virus and don't know it. Some people may never have an outbreak and yet spread the virus to others. Others can have several out breaks a year so it is best to seek professional advise to get on one of the medications they have available these days. Most importantly don't let the virus get in the way of living your life and sharing your life with someone special. It really is not the end of a healthy sex life, it is manageable. --- from someone who has been there

Unfortunately hun, everything that you described sounds exactly like genital herpes and the sad thing is, if you had one outbreak, it is likely that you will have another one; maybe not for a few months, maybe not for a year, or if extremely lucky, maybe not at all. However, once you contract the disease, you always have it. Herpes live in the nervous system at the base of the spine. Even if they are dormant, meaning you are not currently having an outbreak, you could still spread the virus to sexual partner at anytime due to "shedding".
The initial outbreak is usually the worst. The patient (lack of better term) usually experiences red bumps in and around the genital area which will last from 10-14 days, are very sore, blistered, ooze a whitish watery pust, and then clear up, usually leaving no scar.

sounds like herpes. Why didn't you use a condom?
Just because you are free of sores doesn't mean that you can't pass it on to another partner. Inface 70% of people who catch it from a partner did so when the partner was symptom free.
You have it. You must always use protetion, unless you are with someone who has it. There is medication to take when you have an out break. Also medication that helps prevent outbreaks.
I am not sure how old you are......but it is a shame you have to have this for a life time.
Check out and see if your county has a free clinic for you to do to. Look in the phone book. Or ask the school nurse. Doctors and nurses see this all the time, they are used to it, so don't be embarased.

First of all, there's no such thing as "HAD genital herpes". If you HAD it.... you still do and always will. You don't have to tell your mom you think you have herpes, but you do need to see a doctor. I'm a new member to the herpes club myself so I know an outbreak can be very painful. You shouldn't have to suffer. I'm sorry that your first sexual relationship had to result in this. If you are going to have sex, you need to be responsible about it. Especially if you do have herpes. Good luck!

I know the feelings of helplessness, isolation and real longing to be rid of herpes. I really didn’t think I would ever be rid of the virus. I thought that I would have to live the rest of my life without any lasting intimacy.
I was lost in a sea of despair. This was because my doctor told me that I would need to be on drugs for the rest of my life. He also said to forget about ever having sex with anyone ever again. After hearing this I was very angry. There had to be something I could do. So I decided to see if I could find another way to deal with my herpes.
After a lot of research I decided to read Sarah Wicox's book "Get Rid of Herpes" ( also available in electronic format here: http://herpestreatment.kyma.info )
The book details a unique method of actually killing viral pathogens responsible for the herpes virus as well as a quick and natural method for healing herpes blisters. After reading the book and taking action in just two days the blisters were gone. I haven't had an outbreak in 2 years.
Modern medicine is mostly all about maintenance of the disease because big pharmaceutical companies are calling the shots. Hooking people on pharmaceuticals means recurring money the big drug companies. They, in turn, pay the doctors to keep writing prescriptions, Don’t look for a real help here.
