if one contracted herpes and already had a prior auto-immune disease (two actually, one crohn's and one a kind of arthritis) and a weak immune system due to taking immunosuppressant drugs, could it be potentially dangerous/fatal?
this is what i've heard and i'm nervous because i just learned that my love interest has genital herpes. he hasn't given it to anyone, but i'm really scared that with the slight possibility of contracting it, it could make me very very ill.
i also guess it seems hard to believe that in a long-term relationship its possible not to contract it.

So Im very paranoid. I've had this white nasty gross discharge for awhile and I finally decided to goto the doctors to get it checked out. He prescribed me medicine for a yeast infection and told me they'll let me know in a couple of days how my test went....and they were fine. I was negative for Stds. This was about a month ago.I STILL have that very THICK white discharge. It reminds me of wet toilet tissue. It is also some irritation down there. It doesnt even burn to pee, but today, after I peed, when I wiped myself, my vagina felt like ie was on fire. It even scared me. I figured my vagina might have been irritated by that white discharge. When I got home from work, I decided to take a mirror and look down there....its a white bump down there! When I saw it, I almost had a heart attack. What could it be if my doctor said I was STD free? Just irritation?

My boyfriend has these liqued filled blisters on his hands, if he leaves them alone the dry up and end up dry skin that peels off, but if he pops them them end up spreading into more blisters. He also says they itch. He is going back to the doctor, but the last time he went the doctor he really didn't say what they were he just said try this prescribed cream(dunno the name)...it did help but they ended up coming back. So I was just wondering if any of you have a problem similar to this....oh yea he gets a few on his feet too.

My boyfriend was diagnosed with brain tumor 2-3 years ago. He stops taking any medicine and treatment after he thinks he has okay. But, for the past few months, his head feel sick again. It’s just like before, when he was sick. Now, he did not take any medicine because if he did, he easily forgetting many things. Nobody knows about this even his family and friends except me. But, thanks to god, I succeed to persuade him to seeing the doctor. tomorrow i want to accompany him to do check up with the doctor. I just want to know what I should do, should I go with him to the doctor's room or waiting outside. What should i say if the results are bad? How can i tell his mother about his illness? (His family doesn't know about that)

I have a heart murmur, and I'm tired of everyone saying that I have 'heart problems'. Yeah, problems-- as in plural! Never mind that, a heart murmur isn't even that big of a deal. Millions of people have them and don't even realize it.
If something says "don't do this if you have heart problems", does a heart murmur qualify? I don't think so, but I'm not an expert.
Besides my little 'problem', I am a perfectly normal, healthy 17 year boy. I don't want to be labelled as having 'heart problems' this early in my life. At least wait until I'm old.
So, what's your take on this? Are they overdramatic-- or am I just naive?
Thanks!

I have been having a dull pain in my lower abdomen, and nausea, fatigue, and loss of appetite for a week now. I went to my school health center and they scheduled me for a pelvic ultrasound, thinking it had something to do with my ovaries, which I had today, and it detected nothing abnormal. So I went to the ER and they ran bloodwork, which came back normal, and they told me that they dont know, and they just gave me a prescription for pain killers. The doctor said "we only have a small time slot to work with people and since the bloodwork and urine is normal... then we just dont know, it might be a medical mystery." I am not a hypocondriact (not sure the spelling) I dont ever get sick and I know there is something that isnt right. A year ago I had an appendectomy and I had the same symptoms before I had my appendix removed. Has anyone had similiar problems?

small?? My sister's mother in law just had a heart cath and they basically told her to go home and wait for the big one because there isnt anything they can do. they said her vessels are too small for a bypass or another stint placement. btw, she had a stint placed about 2 months ago that already closed up because once again they say the vessels are too small. She is only 60. it just seems they arent coming up with any answers. Is there really nothing left but to wait to have a huge heart attack and die???
