My boyfriend was diagnosed with brain tumor 2-3 years ago. He stops taking any medicine and treatment after he thinks he has okay. But, for the past few months, his head feel sick again. It’s just like before, when he was sick. Now, he did not take any medicine because if he did, he easily forgetting many things. Nobody knows about this even his family and friends except me. But, thanks to god, I succeed to persuade him to seeing the doctor. tomorrow i want to accompany him to do check up with the doctor. I just want to know what I should do, should I go with him to the doctor's room or waiting outside. What should i say if the results are bad? How can i tell his mother about his illness? (His family doesn't know about that)

If your boyfiend does not give you the opportunity to go back with him, when he is gone, go to the desk and tell the secretary that it is imperitive that you speak to the doctor. Ask her to have the doctor call you because you have some information that you know your boyfriend will not share with the doctor. Tell her this information is very important in regards to his health. That secretary will either have the nurse come to speak to you or have the doctor call you later....especially if the office is a very caring medical facility.

If you do not hear from the doctor, call every day until you do get to speak to him. This is for your boyfriends welfare. Good luck and please don't hesitate to email me if you need any further info.

I would go inside with him, and make sure he's honest with the doctor. If not you could try to take the doctor aside and tell him the truth. But I think he needs to hear from the doctor what skipping his meds can do. My dad had a brain tumor and it was affecting his speach and his motor skills. He got an operation and got it removed and was fine. But he also had High Blood Pressure and Diabetes, he stopped taking his meds for that and ended up with a stroke and loosing some of his ability to talk, write and read. and he was a teacher so it made him incapable to work. It has been really bad.
Try to talk to the doctor and see if the doctor can convince him.
If the results are bad it's going to be tough because his parents won't understand why have you kept this secret for so long. But I would assume they would stick by his side. I would say make him tell his family, not you. So they don't blame you for keeping the secret from them.

The doctor will order test tommorrow. probably a CT and MRI of the brain and some lab work. Ask him if he would like for you to accompany him into the exam room and follow his cue. In the meantime, it will take the test results to determine if he has re-occurance of his brain tumor. If he does, they will want to start treatment. Then you should offer support and go from there. There is a lot of ifs here. Just be patient. It will all work out.

Go to talk to the Dr. with him. You MUST tell the Dr that your friend has stopped taking his medicine. The Dr. needs to know that. It could save your friend's life. Your friend needs to be told that he absolutely cannot stop taking the medicine even if he starts to feel better. It is not up to you to tell his family. He should tell them himself. It sounds like he needs to be in a nursing home or a hospital where they can make sure he takes his medicine.

i have a friend with the same problem. what you need to know is that 99% of the time brain tumors are Benin
(spelling?) which means there are not cancer. the problem is they keep getting bigger. and dose cause headaches and dizziness and stuff like that. what happened to my friend was she had to have surgery to remove it. and afterward she has some short term memory loss. like she would forget things like running bath water. or putting something in the oven. things like that. and her motor skills were off she did not write very good and her balance was off when she walked. all that stuff gets better in time. don't worry he will be OK in the long run.. stay strong.. and god bless. if you have more questions you can email me..

if he seems scared just offer your hand to him when they call his name. if he takes it and gives you a tug then go with him...if he just walks off without looking back I would say stay outside. but if its at all possible I would get back there and slip it in that he is stopping his meds when he feels "fine." that is definately something that the dr needs to know. and in the future if you have to take it upon yourself to make sure that SOMEONE knows he is not taking his meds do so. for his sake. boys can be so dumb sometimes. well...girls too. its kind of like being mean and taking the keys from someone who is too drunk to drive home. they may be mad at you for a while but in the end they and you both know that you have done the right thing.
