I have been having a dull pain in my lower abdomen, and nausea, fatigue, and loss of appetite for a week now. I went to my school health center and they scheduled me for a pelvic ultrasound, thinking it had something to do with my ovaries, which I had today, and it detected nothing abnormal. So I went to the ER and they ran bloodwork, which came back normal, and they told me that they dont know, and they just gave me a prescription for pain killers. The doctor said "we only have a small time slot to work with people and since the bloodwork and urine is normal... then we just dont know, it might be a medical mystery." I am not a hypocondriact (not sure the spelling) I dont ever get sick and I know there is something that isnt right. A year ago I had an appendectomy and I had the same symptoms before I had my appendix removed. Has anyone had similiar problems?

Appendix is out? Well it could be an ovarian cyst that already ruptured but in therory they would see some free fluid on the ultrasound.

You could have adhesions for the appendix surgery and things are getting 'snagged'?

since you have had surgery (appendectomy) could be scar bands affecting the intestines. Pain with nausea can be a sign of small or large bowel obstruction. Also, the ovaries/uterus are of some concern. You should have a Pap as well.

You need a full workup by a family doctor. They can do your pelvic and check your stool for occult blood. Also, a new abdominal x-ray may help.

You should avoid pain pills as they can be constipating and this would be bad if you had a large bowel obstruction...pain pills also make nausea worse, so if you can stand it...avoid them.

Also consider a bad urinary tract infection...I would assume that this as well as ovarian cyst were ruled out in the ER.

Lastly, it could be something a little more rare...diverticulitis, Meckel's diverticulum or a tumor. For that...you may require CT scan, colonoscopy or even exploratory laparoscopy. I would leave that to your primary doc.

Best of luck. Don't ignore this pain

Go see the OBGYN. Ask them if perhaps you have endometriosis..
Don't take that from the ER. If you feel like something is wrong, then go to a different ER, or go to your normal doc and get evaluated. If you have really great insurance go directly to either a surgeon, the obgyn, or internal med doc. they can do a better exam, and they will schedule time so that you can be properly evaluated

Something is flawed if it infringes on a man or woman's normal rights. All persons are entitled to matters reminiscent of existence, liberty, and prosperity. So in case you kill a man or woman, you are taking away their existence. If you set them by way of dominance and abuse with out their consent, you are taking away their liberty. If you thieve their estate or cash, you're affecting their prosperity. Something is proper if it preserves the ones normal rights and promotes them for others. If you keep any one, paintings to supply persons suffrage, or supply to charity, you're doing the proper factor. However, the road among proper and flawed more often than not turns into blurred. For example, believe you kill a assassin who broke into your dwelling to save lots of your possess household. In this instance, we will dissect your movements and pass judgement on them separately to be both proper or flawed. Killing the person used to be flawed, however protective your household and estate used to be proper. In this example, the quantity of proper movements and the volume of well that used to be performed is larger than the evil, so that you could be proper on this concern.

I was just about ready to say appendix, but since you have had it removed, I'm at a total loss. Sorry.

Maybe you have an ulcer. Did the check to see if you were pregnant? I learned that just because you pee in a cup, doesn't mean that they check to see if you are. You have to specifically ask.

Go to a specialist. Don't let the docs just dismiss you just b/c everything 'seems' normal.
