Consult an allergist. It is possible there is a way to desensitize you, but I don't think a nickel allergy is that type of allergy.

I've been suffering nickel allergies ever since I was born; there is no way to cure that, the only thing that has work for me all my life is not using imitations; my niece is only 2 yrs and she suffers from the same, the pediatrician said what I just said, no imitations, and everything will be ok. Good Luck

Talk to an allergist. There may be shots you can take to desensitize.

There is some mention of allergies in the diet books that approach diet by way of reducing insulin production, as insulin production has an effect on the production of a lot of other chemicals and hormones, including histamines and anti-histamines.

You may want to check out the library link at www.hufa.org for more info on diets that control blood sugar which is how you control insulin production.

Probably wearing gloves would be the only way to get around the whole dermatitis issue. It is called contact dermatitis... So I would go to the allergist, and then find yourself some good protection to avoid the nickel.... I think that your work would want to at least accomidate you somewhat.

I wish there were one, because my daughter is very sensitive to nickel. Even the brass snaps on jeans make her break out.

Seems the only answer is avoiding direct contact. Can you wear any sort of gloves while you work, latex or rubber or cotton or leather or something?

An allergist may prescribe something to help alleviate the symptoms, but I don't think you will be "cured". Nickel isn't naturally formed on Earth, so not too much is known about it. You may be better off transferring to another department in your workplace.
