At first the dr thought I had a cyatic nerve problem. I have been tested for ms and test were negative. My gait has changed dramatically. It requires alot of energy just to walk. I don't like going to the mall etc. However, I can ride a stationary bike, run in place, jump on a excercise trampoline. I have trouble with my balance. I sometimes have pain (tolerable) in my lower back.

I got my stye 10 days ago - it's under the eyelid on the inside. At first it hurt for a couple of days but then the pain went away and it slowly drained. But after a couple of days, I decided to check with the doctor and he gave me some antibiotics, which I promptly took and finished.

However, the stye is still there - hard, and lumpy as ever - and I am wondering when it will go, if at all. I don't want to think about the thought of surgery but if all else fails, that's my last choice.

So my question is: how long does it take for a stye to go away, and is there anything I can do to make it go faster? Warm compresses don't seem to work though.

A two year old boy suddenly starts uncontrollable vomiting during a rousing backyard game of baseball at home. He is taken to the ER because as I said it is uncontrollable. Lo and behold it is discovered he has cancer of his brain. Seemingly untreatable, unoperable, very scary. High dose radiation is begun immediately along with aggressive chemotherapy. Of course he is very ill. My question is this, Would you treat the disease knowing there is virtually no hope or would you back off somewhat with the meds in the hope of letting him enjoy his last time here? (Treating pain, fatigue, nausea, etc. in either decision as well as possible, of course.) This is a tough one.

The blister broke and was full of clear liquid. Its not a burn. I dont know if it is some type of bite or allergic reaction. Has anyone had something like this and how do you treat it. It hurts where the blister broke. The blister kept getting bigger also.

Colonel Joe Hart of http://www.coljoe.com contends that Oxalic acid in your immune system will cure everything from virus, bacteria, and fungi infections within our bodies. He writes that by maximizing and keeping in balance the Oxalic acid in our bodies, we can maintain an immune system capable at keeping all forms of cancer out of our bodies, as well as shrink existing cancers now present in your body. He list a number of baddies, called blockers which will and can totally drain the Oxalic Acid out of our bodies in less than an hour, and suggest that we totally avoid these blockers at all cost but particularly if you are sick with any malady. Ever hear of this before on any topic of discussion concerning this chemical substance? The chemical based compound which is imported into this country is used primarily as an ethching agent to clean things such as radiators. But the Oxalic Acid Col. joe is refering to occurs and is found in our diet, primarily dark leafy veggies.

I recently asked a question concerning my painful calf and mentioned that it was swollen.Nine of the first respondents suggested it may be a blood clot and to get urgent treatment.I went to hospital and was diagnosed with a blood clot in my right leg which could have moved to my lung or heart.My thanks to those people.I am very grateful.

It belonged to my late sister. She had it in a long-term care facility before she died. Some say it is okay to keep, others say it must be thrown away. It is special, but I do not want to risk my family's health. I have many other things to remember her by, so does it need to be thrown away or can it be kept?

Hello,

I am a 28 year old Latin female (South American decent, mix of German and Swiss). My WBC count was low 2 years ago (I don't remember the count). I didn't have my blood count tested again until last month. The new doctor said my WBC is very low (1.5). I tested negative for HIV last year....My platelets appear to be in an acceptable range, it's my white blood cells that are all out of range. Details below:

Neutrophils = 650L
Lymphocytes = 707L
Monocytes = 114L
Eostinophils = 53
Basophils = 9

Total WBC = 1.5

I feel healthy overall. When I get sick, I recover quickly. My internet searches turn up a lot of bad news so I thought I would ask the group before I go to see the hematologist....

Thank you.
