No- you would not be able to get an infection this way- it would have to be bodily fluids directly from the infected person to the noninfected person.

No. Here is why:
1- The HIV virus needs to be living in nice, warm, moist blood or other bodily fluid. Outside of this environment, it only lasts a matter of minutes.
2- Chlorine destroys the HIV virus almost immediately.
3- The pool has thousands of gallons of water, millions of molecules. The small amount of infected blood and virus get spread out in all of this water, diluting it to the point of having no effect.
4- In spite of all of this, the health department (at least here in NYC) protocol is to close the pool for 15 minutes after a blood spill incident.

Chances are slim to none. HIV does not survive outside a living human body for long and it has to attach on a broken skin or mucosa. So chances are it will die in chlorinated water bfore it gets to you and even if it doesn't if you don't have skin or mouth or genital ulcer, it has nowhere to attach. There is a reason sexually transmitted diseases are just that -because they cannot be transmitted unless an infected body fluid comes in contact with ulcerated skin or mucosa.

You most definitely cannot. The HIV virus can only be contracted by blood to blood transfusions or sexual intercourse. There must prolonged exchange of fluids as well, so you can't get it by kissing someone with HIV or AIDS either. Well unless you cut off that persons lips, cut off your own lips, and then mush your faces together for a while.

HIV is killed by the chemicals that are put in the swimming pools and hot tubs. Even if someone who was HIV infected bled into the pool, the virus would be so diluted by the huge volume of water that it would not be infectious.

The person's blood would have to immediately go inside of you, so no.
The chlorine in the pool helps, too.
AIDS needs body temp to survive.
You would have to rub their cut up against an open wound of yours, and even then the chances are pretty slim.
3 most likely ways to get HIV: they use a needle and you break your skin with the same needle.
Unprotected sex, especially anal or rough sex.
Blood transfusion.

no, if you'll remeber a few years back during the olympics there was a diver named Greg Luganis who had AIDS. he messed up on his dive and hit his head. They verified after this incience that the chlorine would kill it.

i would say probably not, if there's chlorine in the pool. bleach kills the HIV virus. You might get E.coli though.
