At Nine years old, I found out I was allergic to garlic. Doctors I went to could not figure out why my body rejected garlic. When garlic hits my system it acts as a spong, I become dehydrated, weak, light headed and very ill. I will get sick (vomit) till my body gets rid of every bit of garlic that is in my system. Yes, it is a burden sometimes. Most of my favorite foods has garlic in them. When grocery shopping, I have to check on the labels of different foods (ingredients) to make sure there is no garlic substances otherwise I may have to face the consequences and end up in the hospital. Other reactions are, fever, hot sweats, chills. It can take up to 2 weeks before my body fully recovers. I have studied other web sites (Allergies to Garlic) and viewed other people's reactions. Not one- experienced the same symptoms as me. What do you make of this? { My Family jokes with me and calls me a Vampire....LOL Which is quite amusing.} Do you know anyone who has these same reactions?

i have been experiencing real sharp pains in the upper part of my abdomen real close to my ribs. sometimes they are real intence and other times they are not so bad. i don't know what it could be. i get them at least 3 - 4 times a day. i dont know what to do. im going to schedule a doctors appointment. im so confused. i need help. i dont think they are caused by stress because i havent been stressed out or depressed. i need help.

My husband, age 39, just had a heart attack last Tuesday. Upon recovery, we were informed that he is a diabetic as well. We have been given a meter, called OneTouch Ultra 2. The meter was free, but the stips are costing us a fortune. Does anyone know of another brand of strips that are more economic that will fit this meter? Our insurance will not cover the cost of the strips. Thanks!

I have pimple like bumps but wit big red circles surrounding them. ive had them for a week and they hurt to touch and itch really bad! Some of them come and go but in some spots it like builds up. i only have it on my right leg except for i found one on my left leg and now its gone. its really gross to look at and its really hott! so i cant were shorts! please helpp!

and the reason behind this is that she always feels nasious after she takes meds... this in turn keeps her from eating too much... We have resently talked her into taking marinol which is medical marijuana that she takes in a pill form and keeps her from getting sick... Since she still cant muster eating so much, what type of food would be best for her, keeping her from feeling sick from eating but also adding a good fair amount of calories to her diet.... The most important thing here is for her to gain weight so she can gain some energy because she's going back into Chemo in a couple weeks and has back surgery in a week or so..And yes she is seeing a therapist but i would like second, thrid and fourth opinions... Thank You!!!

Hi,I was diagnosed with epididymitis in october of 2004.Before
my symptons were full blown a bad taste came over my mouth
within a 24 hr period in increments.A few days later I decided
to examine my mouth and saw little tiny bumps in the middle
roof palate of mouth extendind to the back.I ran my tongue across
the surface and it felt bumpy like sandpaper.the problem I am concerned with is the roof of mouth
infection has not cleared up and the bad taste is still there.I
have bad breath that can be smelled even if I am not talking
and when i do it can be detected several feet away.I been
to my dental specialist and my mouth is fine.my physician
also prescribed zyrtec for nasal drip and told me all this
would clear up but it has'nt.He also told me that the roof
of my mouth is suppose to feel rough and I kindly disagree.
The roof of my mouth has always been smooth and pink.
what is this and is it related to my bad breath?

My sister is 60 yrs old had a silent massive heart attack and didn't know it and it ripped a hole in her heart. She passed out went to hospital and was told she has asthma and acid reflux and possible beginning of COPD. This happened in Oct.05. She is in the hospital now was hoping to have open heart surgery but now they say her lungs are to bad of shape and they will collapse so she is basically getting some breathing treatments and same medicine inhalers she already takes to help improve her lungs but doctors do not seem very hopeful about it. They are going to send her home in a day or two. Does anyone know any one in a similar situation that was helped or a procedure that could help her. She is 17 yrs older than me and like a 2nd mother to me, our mom passed away 2 yrs ago and I cannot lose her yet. Please someone help.

Watching tv sitting on couch had a blood rush to my head so I laid head back to sleep woke up what i thought was it dream I was yelling at my brother to stop tapping me but it was really my friend feeling my pulse because he thought I was having a siezure was it that or me just waking up from a little nap need advice how do I know if it was a siezure or if I should go to the doctor or what thanks.

Any alternative therapies or other suggestions you can make? I keep getting a few sample packets of prescription medicines, but can't really tell if any are making an impact, especially when it is only for a few days' time. The doctor seems quite frugal with the hand-outs!
