ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP WAS WASHED IMMEDIATELY

HIV is transmitted by fluid exchange. HIV is extremely fragile and dies within seconds of contact with air. Antibacterial soap is not anti-virus soap. The mechanical action of scrubbing the soap onto your scratch probably did more to remove the virus than any water or soap applied. The water and soap just carried the poor dying virus down the drain for you.

I'd say unless you became 'blood brothers" a scratch will not transmit the virus. (see note below)

Get tested for your own peace of mind, but don't run in there all worried and stressed.

Note: Becoming a blood brother is achieved by cutting yourself and your 'brother' cutting himself, usually on a finger or thumb and then pressing the two surface wounds together to intermingle the blood. It is a symbol of how strong you feel the bond is between you and your 'brother' -- that you would suffer the pain for the acknowledgment of the bond.

If only one of you was bleeding, you are probably fine. However the antibacterial soap didn't help at all....at least not the antibacterial part of it. If you are worried, get tested in 3 months, and again in 6 months.
