I recently went to a retreat where i tried the synergy thing I was quite pleased and surprised with the results and feelings it brought up. I cant find a practitioner near my home or work that does it but there is one about 10 from where I work that does reiki. I am wondering if anyone is familiar with both and if they know whether they are similiar or not

I have had pain in my upper back and neck for about 10 years and although I have been seeing an NHS physio for most of this time , there has been little improvement. It is not too bad when I am active , but when I try to relax I get pins and needles and it really aches from my shoulder blades up.. If I lift my arm above shoulder height my hand is numb within a minute and Ifind it uncomfortable to sleep or lean on either shoulder.
All the hospital do is give me exercises ,which I do but I am getting fed up now.... any ideas ?

Plant sterols are in many good foods from a widely varied diet. From what I read they say that it is difficult to get the minimum 2grams per day because the body is not very efficient in utilizing it. Therefore they have created Benecol and chocolate containing plant sterols. I can't take this too seriously because it seems like industry is trying to cash in on something that comes free with a good diet. Is it true that our bodies are not efficient at breaking them into useful companents? Or is there someother way of optimizing the benefit? I have high Choldesterol and I want to avoid statins.

Last night my rectum itched (sorry to be so gross) and I took the appropriate measures. On the tissue there was this long (maybe 3 inches) off white thing. It was obvious that it had been in my feces (sorry again to be gross). Could this be a tapeworm? It didn't look like anything I had eaten and it didn't come out with a bowel movement.

If it is a tapeworm, what natural products can I take to help get rid of it/them? thanks

No smart alec remarks please!

I went to my doctor last month and told her my left index finger has been hurting. When I wake up in the morning my finger is stiff and hurting real bad. I cannot grip or pick up anything with it. She told me I had what is called a "trigger finger".About a week ago the same thing is happening to the same finger on my right hand.I don't think that this has anything to do with a trigger finger. The pain is in the joint and is swollen.I cannot bend them without it hurting. Can someone please tell me if you have any of these symptons and what do I do about it.I have been on my job for 25 years and I do a lot of typing and staring at the computer all day. We also have to log down every call we get, so I'm not only typing I'm writing also. Now, when I try to type, write or pick up anything my hands hurt. I'm concerned as to why it started with the right hand and now the left hand. It hurts worse when I get up in the morning. The pain goes all the way down to my thumb on both hands.
