I have been working out at Curves for the past year and a half. I have been getting my heart rate up to 85% and then they tell me that if I get it up higher than 85% and I have recently done 90-95% that it is burning muscle and fat and burning muscle is bad. So sometimes they tell me to slow down, but I don't want to slow down and need to get in better shape. They also tell me that if I work out more than 30 minutes a day it might be hurtng me instead of helping me. Is that true? My Curves workout is usually 40 minutes a day with my heart rate between 85-95%, but I am not feeling challenged anymore. Could someone please tell me what I should do to tone and lose weight. P.S. -In the past 2 weeks I have lost 4 lbs and 3.5 inches, but know it could be better. HELP!!!!!!! Does anyone have any advice I am confused??

On January 24th I had a composite filling placed on the back of tooth #7 it had been aching and I was having prickly sensations in it since then. I had been back to the dentist twice since it was filled complaining about this tooth. I went back in on wednesday again and my dentist discovered that I had a high filling and a few specks of composite on the opposite side of the tooth the filling was placed on. He polished it down, adjusted my bite and it feels much better now but this tooth is still very sore. How long can I expect for this to continue? Will it get better? Could there have been permenant damage because this went on for almost two months? Or will I be alright? How long should I give this tooth to recover before I go back to my dentist?

ok, about myself about sun exposure.. I rarely go in the sun, im either working or school and this summer I decided to get a tan, which is a first for me in a sense, cause I go out, but I rarely go out to get a tan is what I mean.. so instead of going out in the sun I decided to give indoor tanning a try, so far ive gone 6 times, starting at 8 mins and moving up each time 2 mins and have stayed at 15mins on a regular bed.

I understand there are dangers from UVA/UVB rays and instead of getting bashed here about cancer and leather skin, this is my question ..

Are the chances high that I will get any of the negative effects from it or worse from going a handfull times this summer and get a nice tan this summer and then just STOP and not continue.

I come on here and search and then get very scared from a lot of the repies and I am not saying they are wrong at all but what im asking here (above) are the chances very high, high, mild or what.

I

This question is for people who are currently on a diet only! My question to you is, how often do you "cheat"? Please answer honestly. Also, do you feel guilty after when you have cheated and do you go back on your diet the next day? I am on a diet and I cheated just today, but I am going back on it tomorrow.

According to the decree, my ex-husband gets seven weeks visitation with the kids (5 & 6) in the summer. They live with me in small town, he lives almost 2000 miles away. He refuses to have any interrupted visitation, ie. seven weeks in three equal increments (I would pay travel) Is the above schedule appropriate for the emotional development of the kids, given their age? Basically, would it totally stress them out to be away from their Mama for so long or would it be OK? I can deal, can they? Should they?

I'm 220 lbs and whenever I eat less and exercise and lose 5 lbs or more I always get sick, or at least I feel sick. The feeling is uncomfortable enough to make me want to eat a lot and I just gain the 5 lbs back.

I was wondering if weight loss can affect the imune system in some way and if this is the reason why I get or feel sick whenever I try to lose weight? Thanks.
