I had foot surgery about a month ago, and I've had to use crutches a lot. Using the crutches had given me muscle on my arms, and when I squeeze my thys they're all weird and bumpy and gross, and my skin is oily, and it feels wierd! I'm in 7th and have always had trouble with my weight. I'm naturally skinny and I was 63 pounds in th grade. I've always been like "I wish I could be normal, I don't want to be abnormaly skinny anymore!" Sometimes I even cry about it. 3 months ago I gained 3 pounds and I was really happy because that made me 72 pounds, and I felt somewhat normal. I weighed myself today (cast and all), and found out that I'm now like 65.6 pounds or something. It doesn't make sense; I have muscles on my arms and big chunky thys and my feet look bigger too. The weight scale is probably wrong, but I just don't know. I mentioned my problem to my family and they said I looked the same, and that I'm just growing. This might just be puberty but what if it's anorexia? Please help me!

my two bottom wisdom teeth had grown out about two years ago, and one of them was askew, now there's another one almost fully out now, that's also askew but it's on top of the straight one. i woke up this morning with a weird feeling in the straight bottom one and it made me think maybe it's the top tooth pressing on it. is that bad? am i going to have to pull any of them out? or will it be corrected through time (and pain :D)?

Yep! I was one of those who hesitated for years because I was embarrassed of my teeth. I was told I needed 19 fillings. Well I finally decided that it was time to smile without shame. I had no emergency and in no pain, so I guess it was that I made up my mind. The dentist was gentle and very professional...that helped. I did get a needle - which I felt a slight sting. Other than that, I'm feeling good about myself. *Helpful hint for those that are scared, embarrassed or ashamed to go....take your ipod, MP3, walkman, whatever you have with music that you like and totally blast it when the doctor starts his/her work. That's what I did and I totally tuned the drill and all those other scary noises out! Oh and don't forget to close your eyes! Good luck and just DO IT!!! P.S. 12 fillings left to go :)

i just got my tounge pierce 3 days ago and , after every meal that i eat..i always see a little bit of blood...and today i just notice my toung with more blood. Some people say is because im eating solid food and maybe i hurt it, but..could it get infected..or it will get heal soon???

Its been happening alot more recently and wondered what would cause the change. Ive passed out quite a few times in the past when standing, but passed out while sitting down on the bus the other day. My GP did blood tests and when they came back fine he sent me on my way. Also been very tired and clumsy. Im 24. Any advice?

I'm 14, 5'5", & unfortunatly, 115 lbs. [really bad winter. last fall i was 105 at most!]

I was so happy at 105 & I want to get back to around that within 2-3 weeks.

What would be the best meal plan for me? I'm a vegetarian, and I currently eat 1400-1800 calories a day. I do a 2 hour track practice 5 days a week too. Obviously since my weight is the same this isn't helping.. so how many calories can I eat to lose 10 lbs. in 2-3 weeks?

I want to get back into a size 0 from a 1.

Iam 25 yrs old with a very serious problem I went to go see my dr. she said that I have a enlarged spleen and I also have a problem with my ovaries. thay ran alot of test and have concluded that I must see a specialist asap because the spleen is getting larger and she is concern about it erupting my concern is what can cause a spleen to erupt and what could be causing the spleen to enlarge please help a very worried mother thankyou !!!!

Everytime I do try to go out with girl, It turns into a total nightmare. When I do get to know girls, I get the biggest fear of not being accepted. Last year I went out with a girl for about two weeks, which I doubt it even counts. During that time I ended up finding out that her cousin went off and told her whole family about my illness. Yes i told her cousin, big mistake huh. Well turns out that her Dad thinks I'm a psycho, and tries to convince the girl that I go out with to leave me. My fear is being accepted, which keeps me from going out with girls. So it really sucks cause now everytime I get a chance to go out with a girl, I end up withdrawing at the last minute. I need help if anybody can give me advise, and please don't say meds cause they don't work.

The last few days I have been experiencing a tingling sensation in my right leg, just over my knee. It seems to be there all the time, no matter what I am doing; sitting, standing or walking. There is now pain just the pins and needle feeling. Should I be worried??

the juvenile diabetes association claims it is caused by a virus that attacks the pancreas that kills the beta cells. They say it is not genetic but the weakness for it 'may' be. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I have started treatment for bulimia and have been eating about 5 times a day, about 2000 calories, which is far less than what I would have consumed during a binge. Last year I was pretty underweight at 5'6 and 109 lbs. Over the past year I have regained the weight. However, since I have started to eat normally again (no bingeing), I have actually gained 7 lbs and am over my ideal weight which is usually about 125. It scares me because I couldn't even tell I gained those 7 lbs until I weighed myself and it freaked me out. Do you think it's water retention or is my body just adjusting to the new way I am eating again.

Do you think my weight will stabilize back to normal again (around 125) eventually? If anyone has experienced this or knows about it please let me know. I'm really depressed and anxious with all this weight gain.

She returned from her grandmother's, who runs an in-home daycare, on 3/13 and she has been sick ever since. She doesn't seem to be feverish, though she is unusually clingy/needy and in a generally poor mood. It's a non-productive cough from what I can tell, but I don't know if she's perhaps swallowing any phlegm that does come up. She has mild congestion, though no difficulty breathing, and a runny nose. I have been giving her cough medicine and it helps a little. It's been a little over a week and though it doesn't seem to be getting worse it isn't getting any better either.

Diagnosed in 1st grade, now in 2nd grade, new school. loosing my patients. Teachers are working w/ him & certified him for special ed. Throughout the years, was on Adderall, Concerta, Strattera. Now on Risperdal 0.25mg for behavior, ADHD & Impulsivity. In June, complained his heart hurt when on Strattera. Last wk says his heart hurt while on Risperdal. Following up w/ Cardiologist. A sweet kid but he can't controll himself in school, still touching others, can't focus, now banging head on cuboard in school when sitting in time out, disrupts his classes, mouthing off to me. I know its structure, disapline but I am loosing my patients. He is back in therapy, working on point system. I DON'T HAVE A LIFE! No Dad, moved out of town, doesn't call. I can't hold down a job cuz he keeps getting in trouble or I get calls, or he gets sick. What does a single mom do? He is walking over me. Yeah I spanked but my braclet scratched his side so he had to go tell everyone in school.
