I'm 14, 5'5", & unfortunatly, 115 lbs. [really bad winter. last fall i was 105 at most!]

I was so happy at 105 & I want to get back to around that within 2-3 weeks.

What would be the best meal plan for me? I'm a vegetarian, and I currently eat 1400-1800 calories a day. I do a 2 hour track practice 5 days a week too. Obviously since my weight is the same this isn't helping.. so how many calories can I eat to lose 10 lbs. in 2-3 weeks?

I want to get back into a size 0 from a 1.

Thanks =]

♥ Clare

Wow, in a guy's opinion, you are a perfect weight, and do not really need to lose weight. But, if you want to lose weight, just follow my diet plan.

1. Eat Fruit. This is important because it is healthy and fills you up without adding many calories. Being a vegetarian is a big plus for you!

2. Track practice may not be enough exercise. I do 2 1/2 hour lacrosse practices every day. Do about 20+ minutes of cardio 3 times a week after track. This may hurt your legs, but in time it will not only help you lose weight, but it will tone your legs too.

3. Your calorie intake doesn't need that much work. It is great!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Your body is still growing and changing. It's not healthy for you to stay a size zero all your life, or to stay at a certain weight. You are in track, so focus on your track performance, how fast you run, how high you jump, how far you throw. If you have better fitness, you will look better, too!

Thinking about a plan - you aren't eating very much for your activity level, so you should work with your coach to make sure you are getting enough food, particularly protein. If you are willing to stay vegetarian, you have to eat a lot more combined proteins (like rice and beans) to build the muscle that you need.

I'm guessing that your problem isn't extra fat - you might have a little bit extra to lose if you are starting track after being off for the winter, but if you aren't losing weight, don't worry - your body is staying strong and healthy naturally.

1. Eat PROTEIN in the mornings. Try to aviod eating high-in-carb meals early in the day because all this does is take you on an "energy rollercoaster" where you become very lively and then suddenly become very tired and its keep you eating more. Protein rich foods such as eggs, almonds, or Stallone's High Protein pudding (a canned chocolate, vanilla, or banana flavored pudding where there are only 100 calories, and 20 grams protein).

2. Drink a cold glass of water before meals. Drinking a glass of cold water before you eat shrinks your stomach so u have less of an appetite.

3. Always eat breakfast. if you dont, you will be craving foods (especially high in sugar) to get more energy. most overweight people dont eat in th morning because they arnt particularly hungry at this time of day when they are trying to lose weight, but it doesnt help to skip it.

4. weight lifting! the old myth: cardio, cardio, cardio. weight lifting wont give you huge muscles unless you work out like arnold schwarsenegger (i cant spell, lol). actually, weight lifting will get rid of fat, tone your figure, and burn calories even after you've stopped working out. this is key.

5. lots of sleep. a survey recently taken showed that women who did not get enough sleep were more more likely to be overweight due to lack of energy the next day.

What you really need to do is higher your metabolism. stretching is also vital to your weight loss. i really hope i helped!
