Just saw MD.. asked me how much longer I have until I retire..The question says it all. I'm too young to retire and have put in 23 years of employment with an excellent record. I dont' want to retire medically.. and would like to find something within the company to finish my career.. Did supervise for a few years..but not sure that is the option I want and I don't want to be cripple at retirement age. I have a few weeks to figure out with path I'll take. My back was fused 40 years ago.. Birth defect..

Sorry about the broadness of this question. If you get told that a lump (size of a pea) in your neck contains cancerous cells, what exactly does this mean? Whats the difference between this and cancer? The person in question is mid 20s... will this reduce risk? It is getting removed soon but how is it known if its spread? Im worried about it but should i be as worried as i am?

-Wants Blood Test, CT Scan of abdomen/pelvis.
-However, did not ask for stool sample
-30 years old, Male
-Family history of col cancer
-Bloating/tightening in stomach
-Left side always, sometimes right as well
-Frequent upset stomach
-Goes away easily with Pepto
-Has gone away for as many as 5 days straight
-Bowel movements have been regular
-Pain is never "unbearable", more "discomfort" than pain, as if I drank some questionable milk
-Have had a few anxiety attacks, may be unrelated
-No vomiting
-Not tied to diet (eat salad - get the bloating, eat McDonalds and dont)

Does anyone with personal or medical experience have anything to offer? If it was the "C" word, would the symptoms be worse and painful? If not, would actually having symptoms mean it's advanced?

I woke up a few nights back with swollen eyelids. They began to itch, but not intensley. It was more like the lids itched and it was vague yet ongoing.
Then lastnight I was having sex w/ my bf. We have slept in the same bed for 4 months. But suddenly I started sneezing like crazy, my eyes got itchier/puffier instantly, my nose was runny, and my throat was itchy. IT WAS HELL. I left his room very quickly and went to another room. The symptoms cleared after an hour. I woke up in the morning and my eyes had a few styes in them and the lids were puffy and itchy. WHAT IS GOING ON?? Do I need to go to the ER? Or will this clear? I have no insurance. I have NEVER been a person w/allergies. I am over 20 yrs. old so u would think I would know if there was an allergin. Nothing I ate has been wierd. Does anyone have a clue??

I am just after a simple protein shake.

I am after something:

Free from artificial sweeteners (Sucralose is the only one i would accept)
Free from artificial flavourings and colourings
Low in calories
Low in fat
Good value for money
And it MUST taste nice
The thicker the better, but not essential
I dont mind how much protein it contains

Every month for the past 3 months or so I get very depressed for one week or so just angry and emotional. Not just normal PMS like it used to but I just erupt at the drop of a pin. I have too many people that live at my house so I don't get the space I need to my self sometimes but I can't change that for about 4 months. I was so emotional the other night trying to start a friends car, I was by my self in the dark and I couldn't get the right key to fit. I got so unbelievably angry punched the steering wheel and couldn't stop crying. This is way too much for me to handle. I feel trapped like I can get rid of this feeling the gloom. I don't have insurance so I need help on how to make this week out of every month livable instead of misery. I will argue with someone about nothing and then just cry and need to seperate my self from everyone and this is not like me I am a very social person.

i been having on and off soft stool to watery stool after i eat it only happens on and off one day my stools are fine the next day its soft stool to watery stool at the same time.anyone knows why this is happening.

been for a HIV check up 5mths ago negative for it
seen neurologist for my pins all over my body did blood test and
says my eosinophils are high
now having soft stools to watery stools and abit of rash after relieving myself.

so my mother has arthritis, and is taking methotrexate.
is this the best thing that she can be taking?
she wants to know if there are any other medications she can take that dont have as many side effects, as she is getting upset stomachs and has vomited a lot since taking it for the first time last week.
she also says that she cant smell anything, because it makes her nauseous.
is this normal? will the symptoms go away soon, or are they only affecting her?
