Three hours ago, I went to the dentist and got 2 composite fillings. I am still extremely numb! When will it wear off?

I got a tooth out today and the lady told me that it depends on your metabolism, but normally around 3 hours. I'm still numb since 3.5 hrs ago.

I had a root canal and three fillings at 8:00 a.m. this morning...it's 5:00 p.m. and I still can't eat or drink anyting because my mouth is still so numb, the food/drink won't stay in my mouth. I had concscious sedation with it, so that might have something to do with it...but man, 9 hours is a long time! I'm starving.

It should start wearing off anytime now. If you are concerned then call and ask to speak to the dentist about this.
