i started taking (OTC) sleeping pills a while ago because i was having a lot of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. but lately when i take them, it takes me up to 2 or 3 hours after i've taken them to feel the effects of the pill, when before it only took about 30 minutes for me to start feeling relaxed enough to just fall asleep. is my body becoming immune to the drugs in the pills?

I just asked this question but I don't think I got my point accross correctly....and first and foremost an answer from a medical professional would be greatly appreciated...So I went to the ER last night for back pain I have been having for months and nothing OTC was helping, but I was prescribed to Percocet, and I want to know how I request the same medication from my Dr. as this is the medication that has been able to help me relieve my back pain, as even muscle relaxers don't work. Please help!

Lately I've noticed a burning in my vagina/near it I guess whenever I masturbate (has happened twice). The burning sticks around for a while I dunno what's up. I don't think my discharge is funny looking or whatever. I don't have sex though two weeks ago my boyfriend fingered me. But we've done that before and nothing like this has happened.

What's wrong with me?

My mother and my daughter are the same way, sometimes our temperatures are even lower. There have been different occassions where myself or my daughter has felt sick only to have nurses tell us we're fine after taking our temperatures. Recently my daughter went to the school nurse who told her she didn't have a fever and when my daughter came home she had a temperature of 99.1 and was weak. It turned out she had a stomach virus.
When my son was born the nurse told us he wouldn't be released from the hospital until his temp reached 98.6. When my mother and I explained that the both of us and my daughter are normally below 98.0 the nurse just ignored us.

I realize that 98.6 is the standard but is it unreasonable to consider that anything below that is also normal?

more specifically, need info/recommendation for young family member suffering from bipolar disorder(yes it was diagnosed and yes child has had therapy, etc), and needs extreme attention...meds give borderline results, and family is at wits end...12 yr old child is abusive and violent (downs), alternating with periods of euphoria (ups)-...need info on agencies that can help, specializing in this type of disorder...please be serious, anyone else will be ignored...
