Been there, done that. The dream is caused by your bladder being full, not the other way around -- most people simply wake up in that situation, most of the time, but in this case your body was just so deeply asleep (were you unusually tired that night? stressed?) that your brain confused the dream with reality, and your over-flowing bladder just let go while you were still in bed.

This happens to LOTS of adults at one time or another, a lot more than you might think! For most people it's a pretty embarrassing occurrence and so they just don't ever talk to anyone about it, which is why most people don't realize how common it is. Myself, I've always had a small bladder (I wet the bed every night until I was 12) and I have that dream quite often -- most times I wake up and get to the bathroom before anything bad happens, but once in awhile (especially if i'm really tired or stressed) I can't wake up fast enough. It happens to some people more often, some less often, but as long as there aren't any other symptoms (such as those of diabetes, an infection, or an enlarged prostate, etc.) there's probably nothing wrong with you, other than that your urine production happened to exceed your bladder's holding capacity on a given night.

Not really uncommon. You are likely a deep sleeper, and your dreams are telling you to go. Unfortunately, you dream so vividly you really think you are up and doing the deed, when you are sound asleep. Try and envision barriers, or something amiss--like the toilet seat is tied down or someone is in there already or the door is locked and you can't get in--subconciously you can do this, i have the same problem but haven't had the leakage in years and years, but some really weird bathroom dreams--like 5 guys in line to use the urinal--so I decide to wait. Then I wake up and rush to empty the demanding bladder. Since you did go ahead and release, you may also need to just go to the urologist and get checked, overactive bladder also causes the urgency at night and a daily pill works miracles--had that too.

Bed wetting is caused by severe stress or can have an organic cause like a bladder tumor. Have your doctor refer you to a urologist. In the meantime, stop ingesting fluids after 7pm, Take a hot bath to relax before retiring to bed. Go to bed at the same time every night. Relax with sex or meditation. I do hope you get better soon.

your mind played a trick on you. your body was saying "man I need to pee, but I'm sooooo tired, I'll wait." Only your mind only got the "I need to pee" part of the message, and lead you to believe you actually had moved physically to the bathroom. I had this happen once, It's no big deal. If you find you are doing it every night, you may need to go see a doctor. Otherwise you just have really clear dreams.

at some point in your dream the lines between the dream and reality were blurred.. your brain was telling you through your dream you had to go to the bathroom, but your dream believed you were just seeing that in your dream. If it becomes a regular occurence have it checked out, if it is just a one time thing, leave it be..

It means you wet the bed. Sometimes that happens. You sometimes are too tired to get up and you dream about doing something like that, and do it.
See a doctor if you are worried.

Nothing- or at least it means that nothing is wrong with you, if that's what you're worried about. It means that your mind knew you had to pee and you were in a light/deep/whatever enough sleep that your mind let your body do what it needed to do. Usually your mind keeps you from doing that by waking you up. Or, you drank too much alcohol. Either way, you're fine.

What you have dreamt of is usually connected to the world around you while you were sleeping. It shows that it's time for you to go to the loo. But too bad, you have already wet the bed.

could be you had a dream you were going to the bathroom. lol. just kidding, but seriously my husband learned he had diabetes when this happened to him a couple times and also wasn't sleeping for having to pee all the time. i wouldn't worry unless it becomes routine or frequent and then I'd go to doctor.
