Walking every day is good for you and it burns the calories but.......you can speed up the losing process by counting your carbs keep them under 40 per day and you will lose 3-4 pounds a week.. The name of the game is portion control and forget about the sweets. One candy bar will set you back a week. Try it.

Good luck............

That you can run or stroll quite a bit and still not drop a few pounds if your food regimen shouldn't be so as. Do not get me wrong -- undertaking is excellent for retaining weight and getting/staying in form, however eating a balanced weight-reduction plan will do more for you than recreation will. I was once jogging for 30 minutes a day at least 5 occasions a week and still gaining weight due to the fact I was eating too much and consuming quite a lot of garbage. Now that i am eating a healthy eating regimen and looking at what and how much I devour the pounds are coming off.

It depends. Exercise won't do as much to reduce weight as eating less will. However, it also depens on the amount and intensity of the exercise. Honestly, 20 minutes isn't that much, and if it's just walking, doubly so, but if you're morbidly obese or something it's where you should start. If you're near your target weight already it's not going to help much.

I would suggest getting a heart rate monitor (such as a Polar) and wearing it one day on the weekend so you can get a sense of what your heart rate is when you walk. Then see a trainer and get their advice on what to do to keep the intensity of your workout at the right level.

Good luck.

Sorry but walking does not burn any more calories than standing around talking. You can powerewalk to lose weight (see site below). No one can predict how long it will take you to lose weight. Only your body knows.

Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad fats, water retention and secret trick used by models to flatten their tummy before an event. Reading a book will take you hours but the information on a post, taking minutes to read, is not enough. The webpage below has just enough to know what you need to know. Links page has gov. BMI calculator to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age).

I think you will start to notice in like 6 months only if you eat at the right time and eat right if you don't then you will not notice at all.
