I'm a 20-year-old university student and I was wondering how other people, particularly other young people in my situation, motivate themselves to be able to cook. When I come home, I intend to cook, but usually just end up grabbing a glass of milk, a bagel, some carrot sticks, a few roasted peanuts and a bowl of ice cream and don't end up cooking anything. I absolutely hate cooking, and I find it incredibly tedious. How can a lazy vegetarian student cook on a budget for one.

If so , how?

Would decreasing carbs, and increasing my protein intake help me to lose weight?

And how much protein should I be having every day?

I'm vegetarian , so would need to take a protein powder shake, or a protein bar...

I was recantly diagnosed with manic depressive disorder. And my psych put me on lemictal and lithium which has been working wonders. I have a question though are they considered anti depressants cause i know the doc told me they were mood stablizeres. The reason is i might start taking an herb, but one of the warning labels on it says to not take with anti depressants. So i need to know if the lemictal and lithium are considered anti depressants

How can you tell that someone really has a drinking problem? What is the best way to help someone who has a problem, assuming that he/she recognizes that it is a problem but fluctuates in the extent that he/she views its severity? Is it possible for an alcoholic to drink occasionally or must the person quit drinking completely in order to recover?

My dad has had cancer for over 7 years. I know hes not going to be here forever. I am going to be 20 and there has been so much more. This has been alot to deal with from the daughtors perspective. I have been told I am so strong for dealing with everything the way I have, but I think I need something more. What is out there for people dealing with family and cancer? Psychologist? Groups? What has worked? I have thought about talking to a psychologist or something but I dont know if thats what I need.....im so confused.

I have a degenerative disk between two of my vertebrates in my back. I am still young, 21 and in decent shape, non-smoker...I had been trying to do a lot of research about degenerative disks but have not found everything I have looked for. I was wanting to know if the disk can repair itself to any degree over a period of time. Maybe by taking nutrients, changing lifestyle habits, or doing anything, but I was really wanting to know if it was even a possibility, or once the disk starts to decay does it just continue to do so and you are only able to slow the process rather then ever improving it. Thanks for taking the time to read this, please don't tell me a bunch of ways to cure my problem, unless its something out of the ordinary, or you've had experience with a degenerative disk because I have tried nearly everything but surgery and steroids which looks to be my next step, but I want to avoid surgery by all costs because i have heard to mostly negative outcomes...Thanks

I went to my gyn today, and she told me there was too much blood (sorry tmi) to do the pap smear.I am not on my period, but I have been spotting for the past month of October. The doc said I could be beginning to come on my period, but she gave me medicine to stop the bleeding???Why would I need to take medicine to stop bleeding, if I am due for a period (which by the way is late).

My mom said I could be bleeding internally, and she is referreing me to another doctor, but I just wanted to know Has anyone experienced this or know any info on this?

I run 1 hour daily, which is about 5 miles, 5 times a week. And I'd like to add 1 protein bar to my diet per day to help my muscles repair quicker.

Will this make me gain any weight?

Its not like depression or anything like that. I'm not unhealthy or anything like that. Its very strange, I LOVE to eat (even though I'm super thin, 6'2'' 127 lbs) and used to eat tons every single day. Lately, like the past two months, I have lost my appetite and don't eat much anymore. I actually don't know how I'm functioning with how little I eat. I run 10 miles every day and am overall very active- but, today, for example, all I've eaten is two waffles, a stick of dominoes cheezy bread, and three fries from In-n-out. Oh, and a small portion of vegetables. This is the most I've eaten in a loong time...I normally eat a lot more vegetables and fruit. Why...am I suddenly eating so much less? Especially running 10 miles every day (and fast too, I do it in 70 minutes). Also, I should include that I'm a male, almost seventeen, and as above said six two and a hundred and twenty seven pounds. I am in very good physical shape. Also, in addition to my question, how can I remedy it and eat!
