My mother had surgery and had a stent placed in her arm. Now, her hand is cold and her arm goes numb. I would like to know what the risks are with this surgery.

Your best bet is to call her doctor the one that placed the stent in her arm very soon.

I have a stint in my arm. I have had to have the surgery twice before it was usable. I have had it for three years. I can scratch my lower arm and not feel it, I just took a small blanket and put it over my arm/hand especially during dialysis treatment. It helped with the cold. I have had a successful transplant. In five years, they will take it out. I wish your mother the best.

Dialysis is hard on the body.
