Ummmm honestly no you would not qulify for any benefits at all. I am enrolled with the Eastern Band of cherokee Indian's in cherokee NC. WE DO NOT get any kind of benefit's from the government. They do not offer insurance enrollment for those that do not live on the reservation.

Right now the roll's have been CLOSED for the last 3-4 yrs now. So please no one try and send the 100 bucks to try to get enrolled. I have told many ppl this and they have really been upset when they were taken after sending the money.

The tribe right is also going the rolls and taking off ppl that they tribe finds out that were adopted and weren't suppose to be able to join in the first place. Now there are also the western band of cherokee indian's based out of oklahoma...but most ppl want to be a part of the eastern band in NC cause of the check's we get in June and dec. If you have question's about enrollment please feel free to email me at kebajackson@yahoo.com

in the journey that your moms and dads are literally not registered individuals it isn't going that you'd be allowed to affix the tribe. not one of the three bands have admitted really one previous formative years in many years. because the Cherokee elected leaders and did not use a hereditary chief many human beings have ancestors were leaders interior both unique bands. you would could do the study your self to record your ancestry.

I doubt it although it would depend on the insurance carrier. You'd more then likely have to have Cherokee blood in you or be part of the Cherokee tribe and have proof.

I work for a hospital that takes IHS and my step-dad is Indian as well.....no, you can't get any kind of Indian benefits. You have to be able to show your lineage. If you were not born to Indian parents, you're out of luck. Sorry. I would love to have some of the benfits my step family gets too :0(
