I'm doing a debate on steriods and i want to know whether or not inhalers have steriods and if they do what kind of steriods are there in it and and what do they do to help us with asthma?

some inhalers have steroids, I belive Advair does, I know I took it when I had bronchitus really bad once. I have acute ashma so it really only flares up when I get really sick. They give me the Advair because I can inhale the steroids right into my lungs to help it go away faster. But check on that... I may be wrong, but I don't think you are totally off by any means.

there are two main types of inhalers.
bronchodilators are non-steroid. it has rapid action in relieveing spasm of the bronchial muscles.
corticosteroids are steroid. it is used as preventive medication, taken in small doses regularly to supress the heighten sensitivity of the bronchial mucous membrane of the asthmatics, so that it doesn't react to allergens.
apart from inhalation type, the steroid can also be taken orally i.e. in tablets form. however it is not as good as the inhaled ones because the drug reaches to all part of the body, hence more unnecessary side effects like stunted growth in kids, and weight gain in adult.
example of inhaled corticosteroids: beclomethasone, budesonide, fluticasone
example of oral corticosteroids: prednisolone, dexamethasone

ther r manny diferent steroids depending which inhailer you get
some inhailers r just placeeboes
wat they do also depends on the staroid
