Ok I'm 18.. and recently I've been having lapses in memory. For example today, I got out of my car at a grocery store a half hour away (where I used to live), not remembering the trip or why I went to that grocery store (instead of the one a couple blocks down the street). Should I be worried?

She is 15. She missed 2 days of school and work. Her throat hurts and she can hardly swallow. Her head also hurts but she is prone to migrains. Her temperature has been up and down and at one point last night it was less than 96 (her usual temp is 96. something). I've given her Advil and a cough/cold/flu nighttime pill in addition to squirting some medicine on the back of her throat (not all at the same time). I've now put a cold cloth on her forehead. What else should I be doing?

I play guitar, blues guitar, which involves a ton of bending - my middle finger nail as a result slowly gets the skinned ripped off from underneath it, causing it to bleed and usually make me take a break for a few days. I've heard of putting super glue under nail to prevent this any opinions? (Plz no guitar "guru" help such as "change your string gauge - tune down half step, etc - )

When arteries and veins come together, in between comes capillaries. The capillaries give the oxygen to the body tissues. When the pulmonary vein and the pulmonary artery come together they form on the alveoli. So are there capillaries on the alveoli too? Since I thought that the capillaries was thin enough so that it could take oxygen from the lungs all by itself. But instead the alveoli does that job. Is the alveoli some sort of super capillarie?

My mom is 72 she is a very entergectic lady. For months now her short term memory is gone. She also falls alot, she says she doesn't even realize when she's going to fall. Her family doctor is more of a pill pusher then anything. My dad and I want to know if anyone can to to these major hospitals. He has medicare and AARP. Please help
