Since you mentioned back pain, I assume you mean a breast reduction?

I had my breasts reduced this summer (I am 21) and I am so happy that I made that decision. My back pain in gone, I can find clothing that fits me and I dont have saggy boobs anymore.

As for what the surgery is like... You Will need someone around the house to help you for the first week or two. It took me forever to be able to put on or take off a shirt on my own. Also, I was really nauseated for the first four or five days. The pain was not too bad. I think I took my pain medicine for the first 2 days and after that I just plain Tylenol every 4 hours and that was sufficient. It should take about 1-2 weeks to get back to work, longer if your job is physically demanding or requires lifting. It took me almost a month to go back to work, but I work at a hospital doing patient care all day, so my doctor was cautious about sending me back to work.

All and all, the first few days after surgery are kind of crappy, but after that you will probably be so happy that you did it.

Perhaps you should discuss this issue with your doctor. There are other causes of back pain and chest pain which might need to be considered and we don't have an opportunity to examine you properly here.

I'm not sure you should trust the opinions of people on the internet regarding surgical changes you wish to make to your body.

Are you talking reduction or augmentation? Either one is painful but in the long run either one is worth it. It might hurt for awhile but when the pain is gone and the beauty is there,,it's great.
If you're having serious back pain in general going larger is not recommended, but reduction can help reduce the pain.
Good luck
