Yes, as that is how the pill works. You get fat, and then nobody want's to have sex with you.
KIDDING of course.
However, my ex-gf was on the pill and gained about 20 lbs. When she went off, she lost the weight. My wife and I have had a lot of luck with the IUD that DOESN'T emit hormones.

Most women on the shot do gain weight. I gained an average of 5lbs. per month and suffered migraines. Needless to say I only took one shot! I've taken the pill for 9 years. I stopped last year for a few months thinking we may try for a family. I noticed a 10lb weight loss. However after deciding to wait on our family, I got back on it and the 10lbs. came back. So I'd say the 10lbs from the pill is all I've gained in the last 9 years.

No.
The pill and the shot will make you more hungry. If you eat more, then you will gain weight. The pill doesn't make you gain weight, alone.

The pill and the shot significantly decrease your chances of getting pregnant by boosting hormones in your body. Hormones are in charge of several factors, such as acne and weight gain, so anytime there is an increase in these hormones you can expect lots of acne or weight gain, and if there is a decrease, loss of weight and dry skin are more likely. Hope I helped.

There's a lot of side effects to various birth control methods ... and unfortunately, yes ... weight gain is one of them.
