SORRY TO HEAR THAT.
I think he fell of the chair because he had seizure & not the opposite.
since this is his second seizure without having any fever then he must have seizure disorder ( epilepsy) & need to be treated for that.
there are few causes for that but many cases are without a cause.
he will need some investigations like ct scan or MRI of brain & few blood tests just to rule out any infection.
he definitely need to be seen by a pediatric neurologist,
i wish him good health & good luck.

My friends daughter had that, and the doctor could not explain why. This happend years ago, when she was 2 also they started her on anti seziure medication... until she was 5 so for 3 years she was on this medication, then her mom got upset that her daughter was going through such a hard time with the medicine and took her off of it, and you know she never had a nother seizure, and her daughter is 28

Two things,
First, little kids have a low thershold for things that can cause a seizure. So, a temperature that in an adult might not cause a serizure, could cause one in a child, because children are more "sensative" to things like that.
Second, look into a new doctor if he or she did not even tell you that.

It sounds like the child needs a referral to a Neurologist. They may need a 2nd opinion if their doctor is clueless. Tell them to pursue this and go to the ER if it happens again. Who knows there may be a Neuro guy/gal in the building who will see the kiddo. Best of luck to them!

I read about something similar - can't recall the end result, but it took the parents showing a video tape to their doctor before they took it seriously.
Sounds extreme, but it worked and they got the right diagnosis

I'm surprised that your doctor did not refer you on to a neurologist. This sounds like a serious problem. Please consult another doctor for a second opinion.
