I've got 5 kids, none of them have great teeth but my youngest was complaining about toothache the other day and I managed to get an appointment at the clinic this morning.

Anyway, the dentist there said her teeth were in a really bad state, she needs a lot of work done on them - some need fillings or caps, and he wants to extract some as well. He says it would be better for her to go to the hospital and have everything done under general anaesthetic, but I'm really worried about putting her under - she's only 4.

My other kids have handled fillings alright just with injections, but they haven't ever needed as much done as my youngest does.

Has anyone else had their kid put to sleep for dental work? Or should I try to get the work done just with local anaesthetic?

recently i went to the doctor and i told him that i think i might have PID. but im not sure i mean i have some symptoms but im still not sure.he still gave some medicne to cure it. do u think it is dangerous to take the medicine if im not sure of what i have? i have chlamydia and i read about PID symptoms thats how i figure i had PID.

My wife, aged 40, was diognosed suffering from familial conduction disorder. A dual chamber dual lead rate responsive pacemaker, vitatron make, was implanted just below the right collar bone. No complication occured till date. Stitches are to be removed tomorrow. Can I have a list of dos and donts for her? Is it OK to go out for a weekend now. can she enjoy sexual life now or after how many days, she can have sex.

I sometimes have trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep due to lifes stresses and would like to know if anyone out there has some intellegent advise about valarian and its recommended dosage, side effects and benefits. Is there one form that is best or most effective. Is this the herb of choidce for sleeplessness and/or anxiety? Thanks.

I took a transcendental meditation course 2 months ago and meditate for about a month but instead of that making me feel better as they said it made me feel very depressed and unhappy, after meditate I wanted to cry and I was tired, why? eventually I quit meditation and now I feel excellent, happier and with more energy.

I am a 44 year old single parent of a 5 year old. I am due to have varicous veins removed from both legs in 4 days time.I've been told I'll have pain in legs, can't drive for 4 weeks and have to sit with legs in raised position a lot or walk a bit.I don't have a large support network and I have a job interview coming up in a week or so which is an hours drive from here. I'm also moving house in 6 weeks. Should I cancel the operation? I'd like to postpone it but because I'm moving to a different region I'd have to start the procedure from scratch. Every time I look at my legs I think i'd like it done, but then I think of all the other implications at this particular time in my life and I'm not sure. I just can't make up my mind what to do. Also I think it would be really boring for my 5 year old to have a mum for 4weeks who has to have her legs up a lot.

I had a really bad toothache a few days ago but I couldn't get a dentist appointment so I just took lots of painkillers and used ice on the tooth. I've got a dentist appointment on Monday when I'm supposed to be getting some fillings done anyway, but the toothache has gone now.

My mum says it's because the tooth has died and I'll probably need to get it pulled out. Is that true? Can't I just keep the tooth even if it is dead? It's one of my back teeth on the bottom, it got a filling in it a few years ago but it was fine until the other day.

Also, I have to get quite a lot of fillings done and I'm really scared. I know you can take some medicines to make you less scared, how would I get them? I'm only 14. Would they let me take them?

My well-build SEC.1 son has a large penis.He had started to have puberty in P.5.His friends make fun of him when changing after P.E.He is having a penis which is almost the size of an adult.He has alot of hair on his genitals and underarm.Even i am shocked to see such a thing.Is this normal or do i have to seek a doctor?
