If your thyroid is hypo-active,it slows your metabolism down,making it hard for you to lose weight.If it is hyperactive,it speeds your metabolism up, and it helps you lose weight more quickly.

Yes, it does. My friend has a thyroid problem and she is constantly up and down. But the med. you take helps balance that out. But then when your thyroid gets out a whack again you will have to go and have the med. adjusted.

Yes ! you can suffer from the yo- yo ( gain & lose weight ) effect if, it is not stabilized.
