I would like to be able to become more one on one with patients, the job I have now does not allow me to do so. I am very good with my hands and as a diabetic I use needles on a daily basis and have taught young children and adults how to give themselves insulin for volunteer work in the past.

I had knee surgery about a year ago and the words my doctor used to describe my injury were "horrible" "horrendous" and "if you like sports you better learn to love golf"

I gain quite a bit of weight while I was recovering and even though it has been a year I am still not 100%. My leg gets very tired very quickly and walking for any length of time makes my knee swell up and lock up.

I also can not do any of those leg excercise machines because my kneecap literally grinds when I bend

So, any suggestions on any no-impact excercises I can do to help trim up? I was thinking about taking a yoga class, but I am wondering if it will work and how much stress it will put on my knee.

Any help would be appriciated.

I know excessive urination is a sign of diabetes, but what does "excessive" mean, exactly?

Does it mean every 15 minutes?
Or does it mean every 4 hours?

It seems as though no one, not even any diabetics on this site can explain that to me.

Being the biggest hypochondriac in the world, I find myself having the urge to pee every 2-3 hours... yet, when I do not think about peeing, I go about every 4-6 hours.

Do I have a problem? Can someone please give me a little information about this issue? This is the only diabetes symptoms that I have, and I know what all of them are.

Thanks, guys!

I am going to a camp next week, where sometimes you cannot (well you CAN, but it's inconvienant...) go to the bathroom whenever you want.

I am ALWAYS thinking "Do I pee too much?", and that makes me have to go even more.

If I don't think about peeing all the time, then I can go 5-6 hours without having to go. However, if I think about it, then I have to go pretty much every hour.

I can never help thinking about it, it's not like a button that you can just turn off. I'm always thinking "Oh no, what if I can't go for a while?", and I have to go!

And when I do go, I find out that I really didn't have to go very much in the first place. I guess when you empty your bladder when it is not full, you have to go much more often. There have been days that I have gone 10 times just from worrying!

So, what do I do to convince myself "You probably DON'T have to go!", or that I CAN go if I have to?

It's such a pain... is this normal? I don't have diabetes, I just posted it here!

Just out of curiosity, do people with aspergers syndrome have a harder time in being open to others (as far as talking about relationship issues or issues about him/herself) and like to keep any secrets they have inside their head to themselves?

a friend of mine came over with some pu erh tea and bragged she had lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks from just drinking the tea. so i did some googling and found out this really is a tea that people in china drink as their "main" drink! i mean they drink it over there as much as we drink coke and pepsi. no wonder they are so thin! while searching, i also discovered many people are using it to lose weight and cleanse their systems. has anyone tried this tea with positive results?
