breast asymmetry

2006-06-21 09:23:45 · answer #1 · answered by happywhereIam 2 · 0 0

Dont know if there is a medical name for it. Most women have some difference but a few have one that is considerably bigger than the other one. No bras fit and even if they pad out the smaller it doesnt have the same shape and looks obvious on the outside. A fitted bra will just accentuate the lopsidedness. Depending on the size discrepency and if it's causing physical problems you can get it surgically reduced on the NHS. If not then you can still get it reduced but have to pay as a private patient.

Most girls have one breast larger than the other. Actually, it is more common than not becuase usually one begins to grow before the other. I don't know if there is medical name or not but I am guessing not. Like I said, most girls have it.

If you look at the mirror & actually really look at yourself thoroughly, you will note that we are not symetrical at all. Not only are our breasts different sizes, but our whole body is different on each side.

You have nothing to worry about at all & there is no medical term for this, other than being human.

:-)

Oh please! How much bigger is it? We're born with uneven bodies. I have one breast just a little bigger, one butt cheek bigger than the other, and one ear bigger than the other! I don't know if there's a medical name for it, but I think it's just a freak of nature.

Not for the woman (the sufferer of the condition), but perhaps there may be for the condition, such as "unilateral gynecomastia"
