I feel my youngest is mildly autistic. He has routines that he gets very upset if they are changed or interupted. He also learns very differently than other kids, as well as having the mentality of someone 1 - 2 years younger than he.

I've read details from one extreme to the other. Some say it's going to be a deadly epidemic and to start saving non-perishable food and water as we'll be trapped in our homes and others say that if your a normal healthy person, the chances of you contracting it are slim. Any thoughts?

I had a maryland bridge put in and the dentist made me a retainer and charged me $500.00 for it. I had 1 cm space between my teeth he wanted closed. I told him the retainer was not working so after 2 days he used a little piece of wire and put it on my teeth and it closed the space. He took it off before the bridge was put in. I just don't think I should have to pay for the retainer if if didn't work! What do you think?

I have this occasional recurring sound in my left ear. it's like a dull whoog-whoog sound. Been having it for a few months now. If i turn my head to the right, or if I press lightly on my left neck vein, it goes away for a while...
I'm 25 years old, it doesn't seem to affect my balance or my thinking... I'm fairly active, doing some excercise... scares me a bit though...
I know i need to see a doctor soon, but i hope some of you can help me before i face something that could be worse than i think...

Thanks...

I am a 56 year old man, on disability for back and neck problems. I take care of my 87-year old father.

I have torn the rotator cuffs of both my shoulders and a surgeon says , after an MRI, that I need surgeries--two of them, left first, right later.

Right now, I am mildly inhibited only. I can still bathe, dress, and do basic household tasks. I even pull the start cord for my dad to mow the lawn.

But I cannot push even pillows or clothing up onto a shelf above my head in the closet. And I have mild difficulty in putting clothes out to dry on a clothesline.

I know that all surgery is risky.
I am a recoering alcoholic, too, so I hesitate to go under general
anesthesia. I also hesitate to have to wear slings or cats on my arms for weeks or months, temporarily becoming more "disabled".

What do you think? If you are an M.D., great, please respond. Or, if you have had this type of surgery and wish to report your results with it, I'd like to hear from you.
No abuse!!
