Depends on your age! The average is about eight hours for anyone under the age of 18. Above that is 6-7 hours. But if you feel like you need to sleep longer or shorter lengths, it's all up to you! Some days I sleep for five hours, others almost ten to twelve!

I had a job where I only had about 4 hours sleep a day and worked 7 days a week, 7am until 10.pm. I wasn't getting enough rest so I quit!
Now I have about 6-8 hours sleep and also more free time to relax. This suits me fine!

six to eight hours will do. Not necessarily all at night. Have a little nap in the noon and about 6 at night. Less than 6 may have implication and more than 8 may kill or retard the brain.

ur body will tell u.mostly im on 7-8 hours kip a day,occassionaly i need 12.just depends when my body needs a break and how tired i am.everybodys sleeping pattern is different
