No you should not be dead.
I was recently in your boat. Reach out to someone. I know it's hard, but you can do it, and in the long run it will be worth it.
You are special, and don't waste such specialty by dying. If you want to talk, or if you need to talk, email me offline.

I think if any one asked that question then they know the answer. If you ask should I be dead then the answer is no, because if you should be dead you would be dead. You are not dead so that answers the question. If you are asking should I kill myself then you know that answer to that too. Just by asking the question shows that you don't want to die, you want help. So I think you should look for help anywhere you can. Find a friend family member, who ever. I don't think you want to kill yourself so don't do it. There is always a solution to every problem, just have patience and hope that yours will get solve with out having to die for it.

Depression can be fatal.
Using anti-depressants are only part of the solution. Get thee to a therapist!!!
Start by asking your doctor is he/she knows who is good. Also tell your doctor that your current Rx isn't helping.
Another resource is your local United Way resource phone line, if one is available in your area. http://www.211.org/ReferWeb/MainForm.aspx can help find help.
If you are working for a large organization, the HR department may have an "Employee Assistance Program." (try this last if you don't want you boss to find out).
Educate yourself about psychotherapy. For example try a web search 'finding a therapist' or 'cognitive therapy.'
Finally there are plenty of good books that help, in conjunction with therapy. I found that the 1st 4 chapters of "Feeling Good" by David D. Burns, M.D. to be a good place to start.
I hope this helps.

You have a good heart and a good mind. Deep down inside you know that about yourself. Sometimes you even make someone smile. It's normal to be confused and to drop out of this world sometimes, but not all the time. If your antidepressants aren't working, change your attitude. You can do it, but not unless you decide to do it.

Most people who attempt suicide and are unsuccessful, think right before why am I doing this. My guess is most people who are successful in their attempts, at the last second after it's too late, think the same thing. Suicide is a selfish act. Think about your family and friends who'll be left behind to pick up the pieces.
My suggestion is to find another doctor/therapist. If you don't have a therapist, you need to find one in your area. Obviously, the antidepressants aren't working. Something needs to change.

YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO YOUR DR. AND LET HIM PUT YOU ON A DIFFERENT ANTI-DEPRESSENT. THE ONE YOUR ON IS NOT WORKING. TRUST ME IVE BEEN THEIR AND IM ON MEDS TO. IVE CHANGED MINE 4 TIMES BEFORE FINDING ONE THAT WILL HELP. YOU SHOULD NOT BE DEAD. LET ME TELL YOU A STORY. MY MOM DIED IN OCT.2005 AND SHE WAS THE HAPPIEST AND MOST BLESSED PERSON I HAD EVER MET. OUT OF ALL PEOPLE SHE DIDNT DESERVE TO DIE BUT SHE WAS JUST DEALT A BAD HAND. SHE WAS DIAGONISED WITH LEUKEMIA AND DIED 6 WEEKS LATER. LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST. YOU MAY NOT WANT TO BE HERE, BUT GOD WILL TAKE YOU WHEN HES READY FOR YOU. NEVER TAKE THINGS FOR GRANTED. YOU MAY THINK PEOPLE DONT CARE BUT THEY CARE MORE THAN YOU REALIZE.

well the world is a very bad place to be but we have to live here so make it your own like by learning a martial arts to get the evil people outta your face. but there are good people in the world even though it may be hard to believe so you have to be patient and within time you may find a friend to talk too. and oh yeah i bet your family cares about you so try talking to them or 1 of them.

dude please dont! God cares about you. I am not trying to be a bible pusher either. Listen if you feel alone and like nobody cares about you there is always somebody who does and that Jesus Christ. He is holding you whenever you feel alone and out of place. God loves you so much that he sent his one and only son to die for you and me. Obviously he cares alot about you. Do you know of any church that is nearby that you could go to and talk to somebody? Please dont end your life. You are a special person. Pray and when you do say "God please help me, come into my heart and heal me from this depression". I only accepted Christ a few years ago and it really helped me. I cut myself on my wrist because I felt like nobody cared, and after seeing the truth about God I feel alot better and I know it can do the same for you also.
if you need to talk to anybody email me

Well the answer is no, there must be lots of people you have touched in your life that if they knew you were asking this question would come over and support you. No matter how bad things look, look around there are people in worse shape that are happy and content!

Don't worry your time will come on its own. In the meantime enjoy what you can. I also recommend trying The Power of Now to hear how to leave the hell that can be the mind made self.
