They come in different patterns and you can add beads to then and tie them to keychains. You fold the four strings over each other and then usually burn the ends to seal them off! The are plastic and stretchy when completed. Ijust can't remember the name of them.

I find them so beautiful, I hate to throw them away, even for recycling. What about the corks, too?

Ok, now I am going nuts here.
I have checked everywhere and have not come up with this item.
This rubber ring is clear, or whatever color they come in, and it slides over the cell phone antenna with a charm attached to it.
Not the landyard type. The rubber ring is approx. 10mm

I have no clue what they are called or where to find them.
I have checked two local hobby stores, and on Ebay. On Ebay I do not know what name to put into the search to locate them.
I even tried looking under orthodontics. Nothing!
Thanks!

Each year I have planned an easy, yet meaningful craft for the younger kids at my family reunion picnic. Some things we've done are decorating foam visors with letters and shapes. Clay pot painting. Small scrapbooks complete with pictures printed right from the laptop and portable printer! The year after that we all did a camping thing. Could you please give me some ideas for a craft to do at a family reunion picnic? Something meaningful and lasting for a special memory, but not too expensive. Ages from 4-13. Thanks for your help!

I've seen cakes made from bath towels and angels made from dish towels like these http://www.superweddings.com/towelcake.htm
http://www.geocities.com/cindi_lou_who1/KitchenAngel.html
Does anyone know of sites with other types of "towel" crafts?

I am thinking of investing in a small serger but I heard or read that it won't do top stitching or zippers. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

In those days I was Jeeves and just wondered if anyone thinks back to those times where shows were free and pancakes ruled. Aaah the memories (and the lawsuits). I remember once a 12 year-old mute child stepping forward to tame the lions with just a pancake and a quiverling smirk, and my long exile that followed. I'm thinking about a relaunch for the new century. Do you think people will still want to see clowns throwing round foodstuffs at each other and juggling them. What about the high dive into the small tub of pancake batter?
Let us know, fans!

The leader of a military band directs the band with a kind of long stick that is pointed on one end and has a kind iron ball on the other. Similar instrument, but smaller and the ends usually have a rubber thingy, is used by girls that go together with bands in parades, sometimes they throw their sticks up in the air and the sticks sort of like draw circles in the air, and while doing this the girls do summersaults or twirl and wait for the stick to come down again. Hope I have describe the picture fairly well for somebody to help me with the answer. I appreciate your kind help.

I want to make a simple anklet..using the accent beads only..as the colour of the thonging is important to the design I do not want to use any other beads.

The problem is that the accent beads bunch up...what do I need to get to stop my beads from doing this..I do not want to use glue.

I want the beads to stay in place uniformly along the thong.

But I do not want to detract from the accent beads.

I have been looking for rubber O rings that might do the trick but am having no luck at all other than in black.

Hope you can help???

my newspaper has to look old. But I tried dying the paper then printing on the dyed paper and then putting it together but it is taking too long. I have actual newspaper paper I am using so, what if I print out my info then put the paper together. Then, I could water down brown paint and just sponge it on so the ink doesnt smear. Do you think this would give it the old effect?

any other suggestions?
