Each year I have planned an easy, yet meaningful craft for the younger kids at my family reunion picnic. Some things we've done are decorating foam visors with letters and shapes. Clay pot painting. Small scrapbooks complete with pictures printed right from the laptop and portable printer! The year after that we all did a camping thing. Could you please give me some ideas for a craft to do at a family reunion picnic? Something meaningful and lasting for a special memory, but not too expensive. Ages from 4-13. Thanks for your help!

You could get T-shirts for everyone to decorate. You could have them start out with just a plain blank t-shirt, or have them already pre-printed with the family name ect.. Then everyone can decorate their own using fabric paints, gems, sequins ect.. Another idea is to cut out 12x12 squares of plain fabric and have everyone decorate the square using fabric paints, stitchery, ect.. You can then sew all the squares together and make a quilt to give to the eldest family member at the reunion.

You could have each person put their hand print in the center of a white paper plate and have them decorate around it. You can title it "2007 Doe Family Reunion". My daughter did that for me for Mother's Day. You can punch holes at the top of the paper plate, put string through the holes so they can hang them.

well seeing its spring/summer season coming up, here is a nifty idea for you. paper towel roll bird feeders.
1: take a 3" section of a roll that is used up, spread peanut butter on it bout 1/3 inch thick.
2: in a pan of bird seed or feed, roll or cover the peanut butter covered roll in the seeds.
3: poke a hole on both ends and tie a string a string for a loop to hang on trees.

good for small birds like spirows. squirlls like em to btw
